The cables are strong wire protected with a red plastic. Our pup tried biting these on occasion but after a telling off stopped. The cable is strong and suitable for pups ,however I feel the unsupported long length would be suspect with a stronger dog trying to break free. For the dog used to it though it is an excellent product. The pup managed to get out of the clip once (maybe it wasn't on to his collar correctly) . The clips and cable are good quality although the clips do rust badly outdoors. It is an excellent product overall and worth getting if you have a long wall or fence . I screwed an extra block of wood onto the fence to give clearance. Spring and lead was good.

Does what it says and is tangle free due to the stiff cable. Ensure you use the spring attatchement so your dog doesn't hurt their neck should they pull.

Brought this chain to use on campsite to stop my staffie wondering off its a great length,sturdy enough for my strong boy. Very pleased with this product will be purchasing 2 more for my other 2 staffies

Bought this for use on campsites to stop our Labrador wondering off. Just the right length for purpose , easy to use and does not get tangled as easy like our last one . Very pleased with this product 👍

The spring clips were not strong enough, dog escaped.

Great length and built to last. One of the best purchases of the summer, along with the corkscrew steak we attach this to. Allows enough length to let the dog walk about but not too far. Really well made and constructed. Terrific.

Very good product, stronger than u thought it would be, holds my 1yo rottweiler fine and hes a strong boy
