Cooking for one to 2 people is challenging and expensive because most recipes are geared for 4 - 6 servings. I love to try new recipes but ended up wasting food since I don't like to repeat the same meal more than 2 days in a row. These Souper Cubes are a great solution provided you plan your meals ahead and have freezer space. The variety of sizes in the gift set is a great idea. Ideas for the two oz. size if you like herbed butter for your baked potato, squash or turkey baste you can soften the butter and make them ahead, label and freeze them until ready to use. Also, if you have pets with occasional digestive issues, fill the 2 oz size with pumpkin and freeze until needed. Also great measurement for making pumpkin spiced waffles or bread. The 1/2 cup is great for freezing single serve portions of green chili, sloppy joes or BBQ beef or chicken. The 1 cup container is probably my favorite Souper Cube when I make Bone Broth for soup stock, soups, spaghetti sauce and macaroni & cheese. I also use it to freeze ground meats for meatloaf or making my own dog food topper. The 2 cup size is great if you make your own ice cream or sorbet or for smaller portions of lasagna, spaghetti or beef stew. Maybe even quiche.

Love that I can organize my frozen food into single serving portions without using up all of my mismatched plastic containers! Frozen food now takes up much less space. The containers pop out frozen food portions without tearing or cracking…so far!

These are in my freezer overnight, maybe two days if I'm busy, and then the food comes out, goes into a Zwilling bag, and gets vacuum sealed. I don't think those lids can withstand a lot of freezer time but more importantly, the cube trays are important real estate I don't want tied up in a freezer longer than necessary, if that makes sense.I freeze everything! I will literally make enough food to feed eight and freeze enough for six. I do this every Saturday morning, and by Sunday night, all the frozen food is popped out and sealed. Five nights a week, I cook nothing as my meals are already made and all I have to do is throw a salad together if that's what I want.From couscous to rice to quinoa to farro, there is no limit to what you can do with these things. Smaller squares are perfect for pesto, flavored oils, bone broth to add to stock, etc.Silicone is highly porous and will absorb the colors of heavily-tinted foods (beets, carrot soup, etc.) And because it's so porous, it can absorb odors. I wash by hand with Dawn and let them soak in my clean sink with cold water and baking soda overnight. That may be an inconvenience for some but it isn't a problem for me.They don't stack as well as i would like; you can't "sink" them into one another.My freezer is a two-drawer pull-out system. The top drawer gets the trays which are stacked one on top of the other and are level; the bottom drawer is loaded with bags of frozen cubes.If you take the time to figure out what works with you, this serves as a great organizational tool. I wish these had been around when I was raising my kids. Time-saving, game-changing, cook once, eat ten times. :-)

This product is great. I stored several items I made over the summer when produce was fresh and can now use them in the winter. Popping the frozen item out is super easy. Wonderful product.

Super useful for saving large batches of cooked stews/soup/curry for single serve frozen sections. Frozen rice takes a while in the microwave to reheat, but using a pot to reheat helps. So useful for making homemade frozen lunches…!

It’s been hard to get used to cooking for two after decades of cooking for us and our kids. Now that the nest is empty, we get sick of leftovers. This lets me freeze leftovers in a manner that makes it easier to actually use them later!

I have been wanting these cubes for awhile and i finally decided to splurge and get them for myself and im so glad i did! Each size is perfect and the variety of sizes is great. I’m obsessed with the color.
