I love these shoes
This is my second pair of the same model. The low heel gives me a solid connection with the ground. The semi-wide toe box makes room for my semi-wide front foot. And the heel isn't too wide for my normal-wide heel.

Fits like a glove!
It will probably seem crazy that I am giving a 5 star review to these shoes because actually I returned them. I will get to that in a minute. When you put these on, not only do they fit like a glove, they are cushioned in a way that makes them WAY comfortable. I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel and I need a shoe with lots of cushioning because I have bad feet (Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis, etc.). I was worried about the low rise because in the past I've never been able to wear totally flat shoes and most certainly not negative heel shoes. Those give me a backache. I walked around the house in these for enough time to know that these were going to work in that regard and I REALLY wanted for to keep them. The reason I returned them is that though yes, there is a nice roomy toe box, it is shaped in a way that doesn't work for my feet. It's as if the width in the toe box was unevenly distributed i.e. there was more than enough room on the big toe side of my foot but the little toe side felt pushed up against the shoe. I suspect that the issue has to do with my particular feet and I think I read another review of someone with the same issue. I really wish I could have worn them. I tried several other models of Topo shoes but those too had the same issue for me. Sigh...

Fit like a glove, no break-in required
These shoes run large (or else I don’t have to size up because my toes actually have room), but a 9.5 fits perfectly, when I typically wear a 10.5. I exchanged the 10 for a half size down, a bit worried that I was going too small, but I’m really glad I did. I ran 9 miles on trail the first time out and they were amazing-no blisters or hot spots, and just enough cushioning.I also just bought the Ultraventure Pro, which I’m saving for hikes-they felt the same at first, but the rock plate was too stiff for running, and my toes went numb…no bueno. That didn’t happen with these-hooray!Finally, these feel nice and stable/supportive without being bulky. I have a problem with reoccurring sprains, and these feel like they’ll prevent both pronation and supination. I have high arches and I left out my Tread inserts-there’s the right amount of support without them.Hopefully they’ll last longer than the Ultras I’m replacing-I have high hopes for the Vibram soles.

Shoes do not hold up
The media could not be loaded. This is the 2nd pair of these shoes that I have bought that are coming apart. Amazon would not make it right and neither did the manufacturer

Badass all terrain shoe
I made a questionable decision and wore these out of the box into a 24 mile hike/run and they were actually perfect. The following weekend my dog hurt his paws on a 26 mile day and I gave him my socks. These shoes were great even without socks for 13 miles. If you're looking for a real trail shoe, not a hybrid, this is aggressive enough for ALL terrain, extremely light, and super comfy. It's not overly padded if you're looking for a cushioned ride, but I find these so light and grippy that I can take more calculated/softer steps even when I'm tired. First time trying this brand but I'm about it.
