OUTSTANDING product!
Before deciding on this product, I read many reviews on several other products, and most talked about the primary problem being poor fitting seats. My little feral-turned-house-cat would abandon this entire process the first (and last) time she jumped up on a seat that wobbled. This seat had the widest, latest base it seemed to me, and I was right. It fits perfectly over the toilet seat, and after she gets more accustomed to it, I will probably remove the toilet seat entirely. At the moment, it leaves about a half inch gap when flat on the bowl, and no toilet seat used. It also makes it easy to tape the top back, and tape the Kitty Loo down, which is essential for a skittish cat.In order to make things even easier for her, I bought a set of plastic pet stairs (about $22) so she can just climb the stairs up to her throne, and it is perfect for her. I think these things are very important for the process. All that said, she dealt with it all perfectly, and we are in step 3 in the brochure process, where we are reducing the litter in the center holder, to the point of having only the hole, which I suspect will be in another 4 days. I had a book that said that rising them is the cause fo most mistakes, so I'm not rushing her, and thus far she has had no accidents. It does take a day or so for them to get their aim right it seems.I can't imagine this being any easier than Kitty Loo's system. She hated the litter process, I hated it, and we are so much happier already. I tried to upload photos but couldn't make it work.

What worked for me
First, training cats to do this takes time and patient so you need to go slow. I think you can tell if your cat absolutely wonโt go for it but the ones who are willing to go the first few steps you should keep on trying. My cat is 7 year old and I trained her once 5 years ago but she stopped suddenly. My guess was she fell in and got scared. The first time I did not buy a kit but made my own out of many foil trays, use two if you cannot find sturdy ones and of course you have to measure your toilet to find trays that fit. I started out with litter and no holes, then less litter and start bigger holes. It took six months. When she stopped using it I went back to litter box When I saw this with area much bigger than toilet rim I bought it because I truly believe my cat fell in and was scared, this gives her more room to stand on.When I received this item it did not fit snugly on top, it can move when a cat try to jump on it so right away I put it under the toilet ring so the ring can keep it from moving. I also did not have non clumping litter handy so I put a foil pan under to catch the fall through litter until I can buy non clumping ones. I started out using the bowl given but ditch it soon after because it is too small and my cat making a mess flinging litter every where. Instead I put a foil tray underneath and cut out holes like I did the first time. So basically I went back to my old method using trays and cut out holes. My cat have no problem peeing but occasionally she poo next to the toilet, why is she doing this?, maybe she did not like the splashing sound of the poo, not gently like pees?. I started to put some toilet paper in the bowl after flushing to soften the sound. She has not poo outside the toilet for a week now, good sign. So, I bought this in early December and now I still have tray under neath but the hole is so big that all of her business went in the toilet. I forgot to mention that when I make the hole I make a lip so litter stay in, I still have some litter on the tray but barely since the hole is too big. I am planning to remove the final tray in a month. It has taken a long time and I lose the use of a toilet but it is so worth it.

Excellent for starting...will update every few months
Hi, we're a 4 cat home. One is senior...15yrs old. And here are photos of month number 2 on this venture. It's been interesting trying 4 cats at once. The male is most delighted to please his humans. 3yr old female not as much. I have to catch her in the act and set her on the toilet.Old 15yr old needed stairs. So I bought a set of puppy beside stairs in plastic with minimal carpet grip to try keeping this all sanitary as possible.Flushable clumping sucks. Avoid it!I use the breeze litter pellets with this toilet kit. It allows pee to drain. The pellets are much less absorbant. Then I empty them in the trash. We are on my using a handful of litter pellets now.I took all litter away and found the boy confused. He's started pawing entire rolls of toilet paper into the dish area. Also the old cat stopped using it all together and opted for meowing at the front door to pee outside. So I had to return a handful with of litter to them.... after all it's 4 cats at 4 different ages and training levels simultaneously. That's asking alot.Patience is key. Small steps each week is also key.Don't give up!Be kind no matter the mistake!Use positive attention, not treats! They also really enjoy faucet water as a reward.Get ready to be super patient and remember it is a journey that's not natural to cats. They bury their waste on instinct and want to be clean on instinct.Week 1: move litter box to bathroomWeek 2: raise litter box 2 inches. Then continue 2 inches per week until level to toilet. Invite cat in with human. So they relate proper activity to toilet.Week 4: set up this toilet kit. Let them be curious.Week 7: offer stair to toilet and none to litter box.Week 8: remove litter box. And pray. Offer Abundance of positive attention for using toilet.Like you do when potty training a toddler really. Also, we have 2 bathrooms. That's probably a must. And if the furthest I get is 4 cats keeping the half bathroom with the inner litter strainer removed then hey, I'll still be happy. That would mean no more scooping. Just flush toilet every day. Still saves smell and cost. But I want to add a brick to tank lowering water level because the kerrplop splash veers the boy away from going completely free of kit. The rest aren't too that point yet. I will update in a few months. Interesting little winter hobby so far.
