Tight fit, seems solid
Installed on a 2019 F150. Be careful when removing the gate bolt! I used a small screwdriver to hold the retaining nut in place while I installed this item. It seemed if I didn’t do that, that the nut would have fallen into the body of the truck. Anyway, after installing I carefully closed the tailgate. It was rubbing so I gently bent this item to provide a couple millimeters of clearance. It’s a tight fit! I saw no need for the extra piece so I left that off.

Wrong part received.
I ordered a bracket for the left (drivers side) tailgate mount.I received a bracket for the right (passenger side) mount.I know they look alike...so I can kind of understand the mix up.I like the product with its good design. But better attention to parts numbers needs to be taught.

Linskip Heavy Duty CB Antenna Mount
The antenna mount is well made. I put it on a 2000 Ford f250 Superduty PU. It would not fit where the tail gate latch is. I put it where the tail gate cable goes. works great. I put a quick disconnect on with a Hustler HQ27B 55-Inch Steel Power Packer antenna and tuned for10 meters.

Not good for CB radios
Hole is too big for most any antenna stud. Mount box is too narrow for any washer that would make up for the large hole and fit a stud. The coating does not give a good ground. If you a flag pole it’s fine. For an antenna. It won’t work. I even tried to remove some of the coating. Did not work. So now I’m stuck with it.

Works well
I bought this on the chance that it would work on a chevy 1500/ Avalanche. I’m happy to say it works great! My 102 inch steel whip rides fine on it. Would also be great for shorter lengths. Make sure your installation is grounding where it connects to the tailgate peg
