Great story
This is a great story with a fantastic plot. Very well written and filled with enough mystery and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. Great read.

just above average
The book moved slow. To much detail. It was just above average. I like a lot of action in my books, more to hold my interest. It was written well.

fantastic as always
Patterson has always been my favorite author. Michael Bennett one of my favorite characters. This book did not disappoint. Even when I wasn’t reading I was thinking about it.

Wrong title and promotion; The published book was not as advertised
This Michael Bennett story is definitely different than all the others. The change is probably due to the change in the co-author. Detective Bennett is now much more of a team member, has a partner and actually follows some rules. The story is interesting but too much of this story is spent on leads that go nowhere. Although this book likely better reflects how police actually work, it slows down the story. Character development also suffers; the reader has a better understanding of several characters/suspects who are not the killer than they do of the killer. The title doesn’t fit, in my opinion, and the book promotion is just plain wrong. The word obsessed is stronger than the manner in which this killer behaved. New York City doesn’t even know there is a serial killer. Bennett’s daughter is NOT the object of the killer’s ‘obsession’ — there is no connection at all! Whoever wrote the promotional material either read a different book or didn’t read the book at all. This book is more of a police procedural than a psychological thriller. In summary, different than most of the other Michael Bennett books, misleading title, wrong promotional info and somewhat disappointing. If you have a long to-be-read list, just skim or speed read this one and hope the next in the series is better.

Good read!
Love James Patterson books and this is no exception, however I did feel that this one lost the suspense a little overall. Either way a good read.

Excellent
From the moment that I started, this book captivated me with its skilled storytelling and fast pace. I did not see that ending coming. Wow!

A solid addition to the Bennett series
Yet another good novel in the Michael Bennett series. This one revolves around a serial killer (surprise!) and the convoluted path taken by Bennett and his associates to find the man responsible. As usual there's the personal Bennett life mixed in with the action, although not as much as some previous books. This is a solid read, well written and addictive. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next in the series.

Nothing to write home about
i have read most of Patterson's ( &co) books with pleasure, but this one left me quite cold, I finished it because of the amazingly high cost of the Kindle version.

Excellent Read
Another excellent read by a master story teller with great characters and storyline with twists along the way. Looking forward to reading your next book.

Pretty boring
Not quite what I'd like to say about a Michael Bennet thriller but James O'Born is a pretty boring author more on descriptions & English rather than action suspense & thrills which are normally associated with a Bennett novel Patterson needs to chose his co-authors very carefully

Spannend
Ein weiters Buch, dass dich dazu bringt bereits die nächste Seite lesen zu wollen.Dank der Geschichten über die Familie hat man das Gefühl mitten drin zu sein. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste…
