WOW! I’d give this leash a thousand stars if allowed! Quality is top notch, I was expecting something cheaply made, instead I am extremely thrilled with the quality! I can say this is PERFECT for my five pound chihuahua who identifies as a spastic gremlin squirrel! She is spastic on leash and will dart out in random directions which is an issue for her tiny body when tethered to a standard leash. This leash allows extreme comfort and safety for when she starts going spastic. I’d recommend for small dogs. I may attach a 2ft extender to this when we’re in wide open areas to give her more length. This leash does NOT drag on the ground when held like a normal leash is used. After submitting this review I’ll be purchasing another one. I will not be using this leash in wet/rainy weather/occasions because I don’t want to risk the spiral interior metal wire rusting. I don’t know if it would since it has the protective cover layer, but just in case.

To by upfront: I returned this item. It arrived the day after my dog passed away, so I cannot speak on it's durability.I looked for an item like this on a lot of websites. My dog was a senior, blind and deaf. I kept a leash on him at all times because he did not like being picked up but he often needed aid in finding doorways and etc. I kept a harness on him and was always trying to bundle his standard leash into the handle of the harness so he would not trip on it. This item *would* have been perfect, it would have stayed hanging on the top of his harness and not touched the floor to trip him. This was the only bungie leash I found on all of Amazon, PetSmart, Chewy, and Pet Supplies Plus.

Nice sturdy leash and really pretty too! Great especially if your dog likes to chew on a retractable leash as there is wire inside this one making it extra tough. A+

This is an awesome idea.but.. I have a 10lb dog and the spring in the coils is a little too strong for her to pull out much. I needed a chew proof leash for hanging out in the yard. And wanted it to walk with also. It's great not to have to gather up a leash, that it springs up when she is close but would be better if a thinner weight for small dogs
