I'll start by saying I am a beginner angler, I am getting back into fishing and like to fish the lakes and ponds in my county. I bank fish. While I have only put this bag into action a few times, I can already tell it is going to be just what I need.I purchased the smaller, single strap sling version which holds (2) 3600 tackle trays, which is perfect for the localized fishing I do. I am also able to carry a couple pouches of soft plastics in the bag as well. The sling style makes it easy to keep on my person while actively fishing, meaning I can be on the move to a different location or walk along a bank while casting and have my gear at the ready.I one negative I have so far is the plier holder pouch and strap. I have a heavy set of pliers, and while the Velcro strap holds them secure they do tend to slide around and then stick further outside of the bag then I would like. This is a minor thing, but something to note. I also don't know how well the rod holder sling on the side will work with a bag this small, it may work better on the larger version. I haven't tried it out since I am usually not carrying too much on my fishing adventures and can just hand carry my setup.Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this bag to any fisherman who has the ability to move to various locations around the body of water they like to fish. It is light weight and compact, but provides enough storage for a variety of tackle to change up strategies as the day goes on.

I got the larger size backpack. I needed a new backpack for surf fishing so decided to get this.I love the quality of it. It came exactly like the pictures showed. I have 3 tackle boxes in the first opening and one in the other. You can fit larger tackle boxes in it than what they advertise.The other compartments are great. I bring a lot of crap with me like, scissors, pliers, knife, fishing line and such. The fabric webbing or whatever it is called is great because I'm going to add more pouches. I can even loop my tri-pod chair to it.My only issue is the rod holder. I won't be able to fit my surf rods in there due to them having a bigger butt. Not an issue really. I could just use the strap buckle since the reel will prevent it from falling out. Plus, I don't mind carrying my rods.I'm probably decking it out too much and my shoulders will be complaining after a day of fishing. But it's awesome that I can do that with this item.I'll update this review after the season with how it held up being used for salt water fishing.

Pros: Carry tackle on back. Frees up hands. Standard size is PLENTY big ! Earthtone Color. Holds Rod.Cons: I suggest some waterproof, abrasion resistant material on the bottom of bag for when I have to set it on the ground. The morning dew gets the bottom wet and dirty. Also. Why not camouflage whole backpack. It's only on the pocket. Durability seems good. I'll see over time. I think I could have gotten a smaller bag. I do a lot of trespass fishing so I need to be tactical. ( Climbing Fences, Running with bag on, Hiding. ) I only need the two small boxes for my type of fishing. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I would suggest buying a waterproof backpack cover for the rainy days. Give the bag a good spray of silicone Also.

Despite its compact size, the bag has tons of pockets, straps, and loops for plenty of storage. I love that it’s not bulky, yet accommodates all the tackle I need for a fishing trip. It seems very well made, and it should last for a good long time. Cannot go wrong with Kast King products.

I have ceased writing amazon reviews for most items these days (it’s just so tedious). But, I have come to appreciate Kastking, their prices, products, and customer service so much I will happily review their products. This is a great bag, not huge but holds so much gear. Highly recommend.
