When I installed my Kohler 20kw whole house generator I made the mistake of ignoring the instructions to use this Belden communication cable to connect the generator with the automatic transfer switch.It worked for a few weeks but before long it was showing a error code for a communication problem. I replaced the non shielded budget stuff with the correct wiring two years ago and it’s been trouble free ever since. I learned my lesson, there’s a reason the designer wanted a quality product used.
