Not worth the price
I purchased this about a month ago fell out of my pocket and scratched the phone and also damaged to the bottom of the case. Would love to have my refund. Definitely not worth the price.

Be careful
Obviously the purpose of any phone case is to protect the phone itself from damage. But try as we might, mishaps cannot be avoided and you will drop your phone eventually. The Pitaka case is gorgeous and very well engineered, the tolerances and fit are superb. That said, I’ve had occasion to drop my brand new iPhone Pro Max twice onto smooth but hard surfaces twice in the few days I’ve had it.While the Pitaka protected my phone just fine, I now have two small but unsightly white chips on opposing corners of the case due to the resin delaminating because of the impact. While carbon fiber is one of the lighter, stiffest/strongest materials known to man, the resin used to impregnate the fabric is fragile and prone to chips and pits. The Pitaka has a matte texture and slightly grippy feel right out of the box. I assumed this was a thin rubberized coating to protect against such inevitable impacts. Apparently that is not the case (pardon the pun). Just know that this case will not look very nice over time if you’re prone to dropping your phone. One last caution, carbon fibers are extremely sharp. On one of the corners where by case delaminated, either the fiber is exposed on the ends, or the resin itself left a very sharp edge that is snagging on clothing and inside my pockets. To make this a perfect case, I’d suggest that Pitaka use a very thin rubberized coating to eliminate or at least lessen this from happening. It wouldn’t add any noticeable weight to the case, and would have the added benefit of being much more grippy.

A seriously good iPhone case
I've been using PITAKA cases since the iPhone XS, long before Magsafe was a thing and wireless charging was just getting started. Their iPhone cases are top quality products, and as with all my previous PITAKA iPhone cases, this one is no exception. While I haven't subjected this one to the kind of abuse my previous cases had to endure, the build quality is the exact same, if not better. While the case is extremely thin, it's also incredibly robust. I've never had to replace a PITAKA case due to damage. If you really treat them hard, they'll begin to show signs of wear, but you really have to be hard on them. Even then I've never found a beaten up PITAKA to protect my phone any less. All corners are protected, the camera frame has a lip around it prevent the camera from resting directly on surfaces. The only drawback being it can be hard to clean lint off the camera without taking the case out of the phone, which is only a problem if you carry your phone in your linty pockets. I suggest taking the phone out of it's case to clean occasionally anyway, it's a case after all and not a space suit, lint, dirt, and grease will get under it. It can be a little hard to pry off, but read/keep the instructions the case came with so you remember how, and it's not so hard. There is also just enough of a lip around the edge of the screen so that the display is never resting directly on a flat surface, even with a screen protector on the phone. That said, if it's a particularly rough surface like pavement, well, you'll need something more like OtterBox for that.On that note, if you want all around incredibly thorough "fool-proof" protection, this isn't the case for you. It's sleek and sexy and extremely robust for being as slim as it is, but think of it more like a business suit made of kevlar and full blown knight armor: looks good while providing a reasonable amount of protection vs. looking kind of ridiculous but capable of being run over by a pickup truck. My only real gripe with the case is that they're expensive. You shouldn't need to replace the case if you replace your phone every 2-3 years, though if you're particularly rough on yours, you might want to (even if not need to), but $50-$70 for a case is a lot to ask. To me, the balance of aesthetics, function, and protection are worth it, but it's definitely an investment.TL;DR: If you want a beautiful case that provides about as much protection you can get with a slim barely visible case, this is the case for you.
