Jensen JBS-200 Bluetooth CD Music System with Digital AM/FM Stereo Receiver and Remote Control 2",Black

I bought this when our office location was moving. I owned a LARGE boom box that I had for many years, and it was finally dying. Knowing our new location would be smaller, I need something small, yet something that would allow me to listen to both the radio and play my CDs. This tiny system is absolutely perfect. The sound is GREAT, and the ability to place the speakers where they could provide the best stereo effect is decidedly a plus. In addition, being able to mute the sound is a great feature when coworkers need to speak with me, or I am on a call. Wonderful value. No problems experienced so far, and I love it.

Excellent sound!!!!! Very easy to set up. 30 FM presets, 20 AM presets. Place system in auto mode, it tunes the stations for you!!!!! Fits very well on my nightstand!!!!! CD system sounds GREAT!!!!! Remote control is easy to use!!!!! I don't have a smartphone, so I'm using my Bluetooth MP3 player instead!!!!! This Jensen system is well worth the $50 investment!!!!! I wanted delivery a few days early, so I paid the extra few dollars for expedited shipping!!!!! I WOULD PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM AGAIN FROM DEEP DISCOUNT!!!!!

So far, I am pleasantly surprised with the Jensen JBS-200 Bluetooth CD Music System. When I took it out of the box, my first concern was how cheap it felt in my hands. The speakers are so light weight, I could imagine them being blown over in any type of gusty wind. I definitely would not pack this up in a car and expect it to survive very long in a college dorm type of situation. Having said that, the unit actually "looks" pretty nice and for the price, this has a OK sound to it. Not much bass to it so don't expect a deep sub theatre going experience but it works OK in a small room environment. If you are into EDM or electronic music, this isn't exactly going to rock your boat. This is a better fit more for rock, folk, indie, country or songs where it's OK for the EQ to be less muddy in the lower frequencies, which leaves a cleaner sound in the middle and high end frequency. More suited for music with lyrics and voices than brain vibrating bass frequencies. Personally, I just needed something to listen to audio books, in a quiet setting and it needed to be compact enough to fit in my bookcase bed headboard so this is perfect for my needs. I was willing to pay a lot more but everything I looked at was just too large. Addressing the actual functioning of the unit, the CD tray opens manually on the top somewhat frailly but once the CD is in and the door is shut, it does load quickly and the motor is quiet. With the remote, you can pause, fast forward or backwards and you can set it to repeat or stop at the end of the CD. The AM radio reception is very good with just an interior antennae, the FM radio does has a external wire that you will have to play with for a decent reception. The remote is very small but it is adequate. You set the alarm with the remote and it gives you the options of waking up to the radio or a CD or just to a beeping sound. It also provides you the ability to set the volume of the alarm. I use the beeping sound and it is a pretty decent sound to wake up to. It starts off very quietly and then over the course 10 to 15 seconds, gradually gets louder and louder to whatever maximum volume you set it to. There is a snooze button that resets every nine minutes until you turn the alarm off. It has a Bluetooth receiver so it will play audio thru it's speakers from other devices. I have connected this to my computer in a different room to play my CD collection stored on my computers hard drive or you could pair it to play music from your phone. This unit does not transmit Bluetooth however, so you cannot listen to any audio coming out of it with Bluetooth headphones. There is an audio output port to connect with wired headphones using 3.5mm jacks. There is also an auxiliary input jack for connecting a wired audio device such as an MP3 player which requires a 3.5mm jack (not included). The led display can be set to Dim, Medium or bright using the remote control. I have played a variety of CD's from professional retail to CD's burned from my computer and so far this unit has played every type CD without any problems. All in all, it seems pretty adequate for what it cost. I guess my main concern is with how durable this unit will turn out to be but after a couple of months of using it a few hours every day, so far, so good.

The product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. My first impression was that the unit, consisting of two speakers and the main unit, felt insubstantial and very light - far lighter than a boom box, for instance. The small speakers easily plug into the main unit and once powered it on, it's ready to go. This unit will definitely not blow you out of the room, and the bass is virtually nonexistent but the volume level and sound quality is adequate for a master bedroom. On the plus side, once the single wire antenna was stretched out above the unit, FM reception was phenomenal. I pressed the program preset button and it immediately and automatically programmed 30 radio channels. The CD player works as expected but, since CD players seem to be the first to go, time will tell. The input works well with my MP3 player. All in all, it's adequate for my needs.

When I first turned it on I was impressed with the sound quality. Its good for the money. Unlike some reviews I read here, there are EQ settings. they're not especially good just basically attenuating the treble. As many others mentioned the remote control is very small and hard to see. My solution was just to memorize the buttons. But the CD player started malfunctioning within the first week. It jumps around and repeats like a damaged old LP. And it isn't consistent. one time CDs play perfectly then again it might freeze or just quit. I called Amazon and they could not reach the seller. The manual's guarantee required authorization and you have to pay the freight. Too bad. It apparently is just a $50 gamble.

Bought to use in garage... Works great. Remote has all function on it which is great. Sound is good for the garage but I wouldn't recommend for in the house unless you're only using for background noise like in the kitchen while cooking dinner or something. Antenna wire was super short so I had the attach more wire to get the radio station to stop randomly dropping out..... This is why it's great in garage but not really house quality..lol

Its a nice looking and sounds good. We needed a small unit that fit on a shelf. It works as it should.

To be perfectly honest I didn't know what to expect with this mini stereo. Being inexpensive I was reluctant to buy. However I was just wanting something for the bedroom to listen to at night. I was pleasantly surprised, I've purchased more expensive that sounded worse. It was smaller than expected but again it's for the bedroom. It was easy to setup, remote is self explanatory. The stations I've listened come in very well and speakers are clear sounding...I would buy this bargain stereo again and recommend to others as long as they're being realistic about what they would get with stereo for under $50...
