Each piece is the shape of the State (for lower 48 states), so they don't really hook together, but I think this helps kids identify each state by shape. The ocean pieces go together and hold the rest in place. Kids enjoy it.

I recently purchased a puzzle with the map of the United States of America, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. My kids assembled it twice the first night. It's so cool that each state contains a picture that characterizes it historically. For example, my son asked why the state of North Carolina had a picture of an airplane. We had to ask Google for that. And now the whole family knows the reason. The vibrant colors and clear borders of each state make it enjoyable for kids to piece together, and it's a great way to introduce them to U.S. geography. The quality of the puzzle pieces is outstanding, with a smooth finish and a perfect fit, which is essential for children's enjoyment. Assembling it was a delightful experience, and the kids were thrilled to complete the U.S. map puzzle. I highly recommend this puzzle for children as it provides a challenging yet rewarding pastime that also helps them learn about the United States.

This puzzle is pretty good quality . It is much thicker and the cut sizes are big. Each pieces are good size for our kids to grab it with ease. Since each state was cut to its shape, it was pretty easy to assemble. The drawing are superb and the state names pop up and are easy to assemble also very engaging. More than one kid can play at a time.

I wish that the pieces locked together like other puzzles other than that this is a nice puzzle our 6year old grand daughter loved working on it.

Great puzzle, but it’s missing a state.

My third graders love putting this puzzle together! Really helps them learn their states.

The media could not be loaded.  I love that this puzzle has relevant pictures and displays the capital are all included. The state pieces are actually shaped like the states which is also helpful. My only complaint is that some of my pieces arrived bent.
