I needed to connect a wireless outdoor security camera to an extra 12V battery for extended runtime. These handy junction connectors allowed me to splice the wire from the camera to the cable to connect the extra battery which were different size cables. The camera had a thinner cable to connect to a small 12V solar panel and the extra 12V battery had a larger diameter cable. Each connector comes with two pairs of rubber grommets, one a smaller diameter and one with a larger diameter grommet.The connectors remind me of MC4 solar panel connectors except instead of push together connectors these are screw together and they have quick release pins for securing the wires inside the connectors. These connectors are very handy to join two cables while maintaining a water resistant connector without having to use a junction box. The connectors are rated at IP68 so they aren't waterproof, but water resistant so I wouldn't use them underground. These connectors are a time saver and cost saver if you need to join two cables.

I needed to connect two wires in an outdoor location, something I though would necessitate a weatherproof box and at least butt connectors, plus the time to attach everything. These connectors are amazing, just strip back the wire, insert in the connector and snap the tabs shut! I could do 10 of these in less time than to do one with a box! Super product; plan to keep a few on hand.One note: I used these with round 3-conductor wire. They come with 2 grommet sizes to for different cable thickness. Think, but not sure this would work with Romex

This needed directions, I had to go to similar devices to find out where the rubber gaskets went on the connector device. Overall it seems to be a solid, easy to install device.

I've been testing many of these junction boxes. They all are very close and work well. What sets this apart from the others for me is that the pin locks are a quick release design. All the others I've tried use a screw to secure the inserted wire. This quick lock and unlocking flip out lever is a time-saver (especially while I was testing the connections to make sure I wired correctly). The connection points are also color coded, which makes wiring so much easier. The others have a very hard to see letter next to the insertion point. It is very easy tovforget which point is which letter, having 3 colors is much better. The colors are yellow, pink, and blue. This set came with 5 junction boxes. They work perfectly. I highly recommend these.

We needed to fix some old and broken outdoor lighting fixtures and the wiring to go with them. The pathway line voltage lights needed to be replaced and this connector makes the wiring easy and safe. Since these are underground wires, you need to use waterproof fittings and the ease of just snaping in the wire without splicing of heat shrink makes this product a winner.

Used these to install outdoor led strips and they worked like a charm. Didn't need any cramping or heat shrinking. It's been almost a month since installed and I haven't seen any water issues and lights are still working.

I think I prefer using these any time I have power cord fixes to make around the house, inside or out. Just a better way to quickly, and securely repair cut cords. I've done my share of twisting wires, crimping wires, wrapping with electrical tape etc ... the repair always looked crappy. Using these eliminates the twisting / crimping / wrapping, producing a secure connection, that is waterproof, and looks great. 100% improvement all the way around.

These will work great as connectors but I am not sure it's waterproof. Depending on the wire size, water will seap through the back. The connectors are super easy and convenient to hook up.
