Its pretty obvious for the price that this isn't actually gold and if the rose pendant is plated with it, its very unlikely the chain is. But its a low cost pretty thing; just keep your expectations as being a nice piece of costume jewelry -- not fine jewelry.

This is so cute and I can't wait to wear it, but the rose is huge! I thought it was going to be this cute little dainty necklace, but the flower is like an inch and a half long! I will still wear it but maybe along with a smaller necklace.
