Easy to use and works well
Been using for awhile and fits all my needs. Just starting out and it was easy enough to learn. Wish batter was replaceable or lasted longer.

Great gimbal (so far) after a little adjustment with my Sony A6500!
I finally decided to get a gimbal, and was able to because it was in my price and weight load capacity fit my needs. I have a Sony A6500 with a Tamron 17-70 2.8 lens and wanted to get more into video work. When I first got the gimbal and started the setup and balancing, I was disappointed that with my lens and camera combo, that it would't balance because the weight of the lens was way too heavy and I was at the end of the plate for me to adjust. I was ready to return it, and have debated for days whether or not I would, but then I had an epiphany: I just needed to add weight to the camera to balance with the lens.At first, I tried looking at setups where I can add a counterweight, but then I thought - maybe getting a battery grip would help... AND IT DID!I purchased a battery grip for my A6500, and with the weight of the grip and added battery weight, it worked like a charm! I've only done some early testing, but I was able to to get all the axis balanced and did a video test, and was happy with the turnout so far without trying any of the features. I'm a beginner in video work using a gimbal, so I haven't really dove into it in-depth, but for my initial need of being able to use a gimbal for smooth footage, it did just that, and anything else from that point on (for me) would be an added bonus. I can't wait to get more familiar with the features and enhance my video work.

Malfunctioning and short battery life
It malfunctioned after months of light usage on a job. I had the gimbal standing on a table, turned on and suddenly it started jerking it's arms around by itself. I tried to turn it off. The motors turned off but the display stayed on and the gimbal became unresponsive. I could neither turn it back on nor fully off. I had to wait for a day until the battery died. After recharging, the gimbal started having other malfunctions. It often didn't follow when I turned it left or right. The tilt knob doesn't work anymore when tilting the gimbal at the same time, making it completely useless as those are many of my shots. The feiyutech app can't even control the speed or style of tilting anymore. I updated firmware even after that but it did nothing. When I read the feiyutech warranty service website, it stated I needed the warranty card and receipt. I haven't had problems with my scorp c gimbal, so I don't remember where the warranty card went, as I expected this gimbal to be of similar quality. And one would think since it's the updated version, the battery life would be as good or better. But even with the ai module turned off, the battery life is nowhere close to the scorp c. Just a couple of hours of use and I'm down to 30% battery. Based on my experience, I can not recommend this gimbal.

Compact and Reliable Camera Gimbal with Great Performance!
Purchased Scorp 2 for a friend’s wedding to help him save money, and it turned out to be a great choice. The compact design makes it easy to carry, and it’s highly responsive with excellent build quality. Setting it up was simple, and I got used to it quickly since its functions are similar to my mobile gimbal. The package includes everything needed.I haven’t explored the AI features much yet, but it responded well to hand gestures for some selfies. The camera fits securely, and the battery life is impressive. Filming with one hand for extended periods can get tiring depending on the camera’s weight, but using both hands helps significantly. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase!

It’s a beautiful flawed product!!
The Scorp 2 would’ve been exceptional if it marketed to the traditional landscape balancing gimbal shooters. Excellent motor balancing ease of control and ease of use. Where it fell short was the A.I tracking, portrait video, video market.Fist of all when putting the camera in portrait mode, FeiyuTech didn’t even account for todays DSLR/Vlog SLR camera built in swivel monitor. When you put your camera in the Scorp2 gimabal mount portrait mode the camera swivel monitors are facing down towards the gimbal, which is blocking you from seeing your self. Maybe you want to run some distance tests, framing tests, or position tests by yourself before your live shot begins, well guess what, wont happen on your own. What is the purpose of A.I Tracking on a gimbal if most of the usage would to be to track yourself but also be able to see yourself while doing it.That also leads into the A.I Tracking issue. Scorp 2 only reframes in landscape mode, not in portrait mode. So you have all this headroom at the top, soon as you reframe to close the distance of the headroom, the gimbal resets back to original position still leaving all the headroom. I contacted them on the matter, they stated its a sensor issue and its really little they can do about it even with updatesPros-Excellent for Landscape videos,Cons-Poor A.I portrait reframing and Portrait camera mountingThe Hohem Isteady MT2 is actually most well rounded example of encompassing both A.I Tracking in both Landscape and Portrait
