I added this in my son's bathroom as we made it harry potter themed. It was an easy mount.

Super cute light and it was great when it worked. Went to charge it this morning and it’s not holding a charge. The light is flickering when I plug it into the outlet. Used it for two nights before it broke.

Would not hold a charge. Never even got to use it for our Harry Potter event and of course I can t return it now because the window to return has closed....

This may not fit into a collection of official replicas of props from the HP universe, but this imitation of a Platform 9¾ sign will be a joy for any fan. The light is rechargeable and includes a USB-C cable for charging. (No charger is included.) A hanging bracket is included along with screws and drywall anchors for mounting the bracket. The light hangs from the bracket by its swivel hook and is 360° rotatable, so you can have it facing any direction you want to.There is a power button on the sign to turn the light on, and repeated presses will cycle through the 16 colors available or turn the light off. The button is near the USB-C charging port and the infrared remote control receiver. The IR remote control for the light uses an included CR2025 button cell battery. Features of the remote are power on/off, brightness up/down (10 levels), directly select one of the 16 colors, and change the lighting mode to one of four various ways of cycling through the colors.There is a separate and optional white snowy owl included that can sit atop the hanging bracket. It has a magnet in the bottom to help keep it in place. The snowy owl also has a light inside to make it appear to glow. There is a very small switch on the bottom of the owl to manually turn the light on/off. That light is not rechargeable, not controlled remotely, and appears to be powered by a small button cell battery (or a stack of them) which is not replaceable. I may look closer later to see if it's replaceable because it looks so nice "aglow", I would hate to not use it for fear of running the battery out. It appeared to be set in there with hot glue though.This sign does not have the word "Platform" on it like some similar ones do, but I feel it has a nicer appearance than others I've seen on Amazon in this price ($37, Dec-2023) range. The owl is a really nice touch but it loses some of its appeal by not being rechargeable, or at least having a replaceable battery, since it has to be manually turned on then off, which would be easy to forget to do. Although the listing claims a full charge will illuminate the sign for at least 12 hours (up to 30 hours, if you reduce brightness), it would be a lot better if there was a timer button, on the sign, the remote, or both. The descriptions of lighting modes on the remote don't seem to match the actual effects of the light, so you may have to experiment with them if you want to use that feature. Although USB chargers are somewhat ubiquitous, at this price, I think they should include a basic one since the sign can't be used without it. Also, at the time of this review, there is nothing in the listing that says a USB charger is needed but not included. Because of these shortcomings, I can't give it five stars, but I would still recommend it for your HP fan or for yourself!

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you'll love this train station marker. I actually thought it was just a very English clock and told time like a Victorian person from England, "three quarter past 9" and such but that was not the case. some googling lead me to a HP fan page where i realized what this item was. The light is very bright and the emote is responsive, but I have to say my favorite part is the little owl. it could be slightly brighter but i mean for what it is it's a cool device.

The light is great. Rechargeable with a type-c plug. Has a remote to control the light color thru the entire regular ange of LED lights. My daughter loves that light and I hung it up in here room very easily with two provided screws and plastic sheetrock nuts.The owl attaches to the top rail with a magnet on the bootm of it. It also has a small switch to turn a white glowing light on inside of him. Really nice tough.BUT WAIT....the owl is not rechargeable!!!!! The light and battery for the owl is glued inside the owl!!! There is no way to just pop it out and replace the batteries!!!! There may not even be a way to get it out!!!???!!!How could someone do this? After a handful of hours the owl just simply never lights up again??? And that was the plan???? What in the world were they thinking???Attached is a picture of the owls bottom!!! :\
