Not perfectly square...
This square is off by .25 - .5 degrees.... It might not sound like a lot but if you use it to mark around a beam of wood the two lines will not meet up at the end. It has a kink in the metal at the end of the scale like it was improperly cut prior to marking.... Best use this for the quick measurements it can aid with (for mortises, parallel lines etc.) rather than using this for the 90deg or 45deg. For the 90deg or 45deg the Swanson speed square is more reliable...
