Bought as a gag gift- absolute perfection
Bought this as a joke gift for a friend, it’s absolutely amazing. Written by AI and not really a good read, but it’s a hilarious gift

Funny and modern but wouldn’t use as real Bible
It is a really funny book, and tells stories in a modern way, but I would not replace this book as my only source of the Bible. There are ways that the A.I. translated it to where it changes the narrative of the verses. For example the parable of the prodigal son. (Luke 15:11-32) In verse 20 in the NIV translation it says “So he got up and went to his father, but while he was so a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; He ran to his son through his arms around him and kissed him.” While in the Gen Z translation it says “So he got up and made it his way to his dad but from far away his dad spotted him and felt bad for the dude. He ran over and gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.” The father didn’t run to his son because of pity, it was because of Love.I like it still but when reading it also have a real Bible present, and if someone comes to know Jesus because of it. Well, Amen.

So far halarious and well down. Check out Matthew 24 below.
Obviously this is supposed to be funny, but since they used the text as base its so fun and makes me open my ESV to spot check and I am fairly impressed. So yesterday my daughter told me about a Gen Z Bible and I had to get it. Here is my favorite passage I have found so far. (I leave the verse numbers if you want to see how accurate it is.)Matthew 24:1-14:(1) So Jesus bounced from the temple and his crew rolled up to him, flexing the sick architecture of the place. (2) Jesus was like, "Yo, peep all this? Real talk, not a single stone will be left standing, they'll be all tossed down." (3) Later on, while Jesus was chilling on the Mount of Olives, his squad pulled up on the low and asked him, "Yo, when is this gonna go down? How will we know when you come back and the world is toast?" (4) Jesus was like, "Listen up, don't let anyone fool you, my homies." (5) There's gonna be mad posers out there claiming to be the Messiah, trying to pull a fast one on everyone. (6) And you'll hear about wars and rumors of wars, but don't stress, it's all part of the game. But that ain't the end, fam. (7) Countries will rise up against each other, there'll be hunger, diseases, and earthquakes all over the place, no cap. (8) It's just the beginning of all the messed- up stuff that's gonna go down. (9) And you, my peeps, gonna get handed over to be tortured and even killed. Everyone's gonna hate you because you're repping my name. (10) And trust, there will be so many people getting triggered and snitching on each other, straight-up hating one another. (11) False prophets gonna be popping up left and right, deceiving the masses, fam. (12) With wickedness running wild, people's love for each other gonna go ice-cold, straight up frosty. (13) But if you stay strong till the end, you'll be saved, no doubt. (14) And this good news about the kingdom, it's gonna be spread all over the world, for everyone to peep. That's when the end will come, fam.

Fun, but not really Gen Z.
The translation is fun to read, but more “street” than Gen Z.
