Why did I wait so long to buy this little wing nut hand tool? I've been struggling with tightening the wing nuts on my rigid heddle loom and stand since I bought them 8 years ago and never realized there was a tool that could easily solve my problem. As I type this my hands are still sore from assembling and disassembling my loom two days ago. On a whim, I searched Amazon for a tool that could perform this simple task and voila! Today it arrived and I was able to fully tighten the wing nuts for the first time ever, and with no pain! Highly recommended! [note added on 3/16/24: My husband and adult daughter tried to keep a straight face when I happily proclaimed "My wingnuts are cinched up for the first time!"]

I ordered this tool because it looked like a much easier way to install and tighten wing nuts, screw eyes, hooks and other hardware and I was right. It has a nice sized handle and feels nice and sturdy. I even tried using it to help turn a smaller sized hex wrench and it worked well for that. It definitely makes tightening these types of objects easier than trying to grip them with pliers or turning screw eyes with a screwdriver.

I bought it to twist off wing nuts that are corroded into place. This lets me free up the stuck ones, even in tight places.

This is a dedicated nut driver, 12 mm or 0.45” with 4 mm/0.15” ‘cuts’ in the sides designed to accommodate the wings on wing nuts. Plastic coating of the T-handle provides some comfort.
