It's obviously not the 'original' ball chair. It's still nice and round and red, and has this unique silence once you sit in it. I had pretty low expectations to begin with, and it met them perfectly:- The base is of a slightly different color white than the ball itself.- The base doesn't fit perfectly, leaving the ball to wobble a little bit. I've now pushed some extra material between the pin and the socket, so it no longer wobbles, but also doesn't turn anymore. It's a trade-off, but I'd rather have it be fixed than that the wobble would damage the base further.- The fabric on the inside isn't perfectly glued to the insulation foam in some places. It's not too bad, but I'm curious what it will look like in a couple of years time.That said, the outer shell is perfect, the cushions are nice and the fabric and color are good. All in all good enough for our household with little kids.
