Excellent addition to the On the Go series
This book is chock-full of cute patterns for all different skill levels and is a very appropriate addition to the Vogue Knitting On the Go series. Many of the projects are done in sections and combined during finishing, so they are truly portable. The editors have also included a few patterns that are truly challenging but because of their small size (baby blankets are usually not larger than about 36" square) they are not overwhelming. I bought this book because my knitting group is donating baby blankets to the local Ronald McDonald House and there is something for everyone in the book. We'll be busy through the end of the year and beyond!

Some really terrific blankies in this knit collection. My favorites are:Sampler blanket by Margarita Mejia which has 8 beautiful squares and a alovely lace edging. Entrelac blanket by Song Palmese, Geometric blanket by Wendy Bergman done in the domino type knitting in 25 squares. Crazy stripes blanket by Veronica Manno using Koigu Kersti in 9 colors. All of the blankets are interesting and the choice of type is wide. The cover blanket is one of the less interesting ones. Only 3 are for beginners with several being for the intermediate or experienced knitter. As a new grandmother, I'd suggest knitting them either in cotton or acrylic instead of wool (which some of them call for).

Advanced Knitters Only
Would have loved to try the patterns in this book, purchased with a LIKE NEW rating yet when I got the book the pages are coming loose from the binding. I’m returning the book. The patterns are easy to read but definitely for the advanced knitter. I would not recommend this for beginners and the ‘On the Go’ title makes you think these would be simple blankets to knit but with the multitude of colour changes, there’s no way that these could easily be knitted ‘on the go’ to anywhere or whilst waiting for daughters to finish ballet class or boys for sports practice.

Advanced Knitters only
Its been my experience with Vogue that the patterns always tend to be a bit difficult. I had no clue just how difficult this book would be!I thought trying a blanket would be a good starting point but the directions are very confusing. I was so frustrated I had to call a friend who is an expert at knitting and she suggested writing out the instructions. Even she had trouble on the "Little Lambs, counting sheep" blanketIn the instructions they take for granted that you will just assume a lot and if you dont I guess you are just out of luck.Be warned this book is very small 7x5 with very small print and the charts even smaller. All in all the pictures or the blankets draw you in but once you start so does the headache.

Cute Patterns - Book Fell Apart
I liked the pattern on the front, made it with several modifications. The actual book was in poor shape (all of the binding was bad, as soon as the book was opened ALL of the pages fell out).

Pretty pictures are not the whole story
While the format and outlay of this little book is very appealing, the editors did not review the actual knitting directions for consistency and clarity--for example where squares were of 18 rows, they are suddenly changed to 10 ridges. In other cases, the sequence of steps was very unclear and poorly stated. The multi-colored blankets give very little direction for finishing and thought for how the back of a blanket might look and hold together under fairly strenuous use.For the most part, it's probably a good idea to choose the single colored patterns.

Extraordinary--
For such a small book, it contains instructions for blankets in an amazing variety of styles, techniques, skill levels, I'll keep it on my shelf for future projects and right now, It tucks easily into my knitting bag next to my current project..

Follow-ups often disappoint
I bought this for my wife since she so appreciated volume one. She feels the designs in this are much weaker than in the original volume. Just looks like an attempt to cash in. Buy volume one in preference if you can obtain it. Vol 1 is more difficult to obtain these days.

Just what I hoped for
Just what I had hoped it would be! Out of print so very lucky to get it - took about 6 weeks to arrive though!

Fantastic baby blankets.
Some lovely, original designs. A lot of the wools used are no longer available so I had to rely on the expert in my local wool shop to help me choose alternatives.

nulla di che
su tutto il libro ci saranno uno o due modelli di interesse, il resto sono bruttarelli.Non consiglio, orientarsi altri libri del genere
