We go through a lot of bowls and we have a lot which don't work in the microwave. I'd been looking online to match some of the ones we use the most but couldn't find any, plus I wanted a 6" bowl rather than a 7" bowl. These were a good price, very pretty, and work just fine in the microwave (the foot at the bottom is also necessary to be able to remove the bowl from the microwave with just a thumb under the foot and a finger on the top rim). So we are very happy. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is mostly my fault. I hadn't realized that the design shape, which goes almost straight up, would mean hot condensation would collect there from the silicone lid we put on to prevent spatters. Next time I will look for a bowl with a slightly flared shape.

This is a very nice 6-piece set of Japanese bowls. I love all things Japanese and these caught my eye right away. They are delicate looking but they are definitely more sturdy than they look. They are dishwasher and microwave-safe, and they are also advertised to be freezer-safe as well. I like them well enough, however, I will hand wash them. The 6-piece set was offered in one of three patterns of thin blue lines on white porcelain. The 4th set was offered in a variety of 2 bowls in each of the three patterns. I liked them all, but ordered the flower pattern. I was initially disappointed to find that I had been sent the variety set, but I am actually quite happy with them; the variety is nice. They are advertised as "small" bowls, but they certainly are not - each holding 30 oz; quite enough for a ramen soup, but a bit too big for a dessert. Regardless, I know I will use these attractive bowls often. You won't be disappointed!

These are beautiful and useful! They are big and high enough for soup or salad. It's fun to have different patterns either for variety or for family members who want "their own" bowl. Great for recipe prep and easily stackable. Glossy finish and designs look even better in person. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

I realized afterwards that 30oz isn't the small I had in mind. I love them anyway. I went with the blue leaf pattern and I am not disappointed. Nice weight and size for soups or salads.

Very pretty bowls , but every one was faded near the rim of the bowl. Good size for many things

I had been looking for a nice set of bowls because I am a food blogger. I am constantly developing new recipes and taking pictures of them. I needed prettier bowls. These fit that need perfectly. They are a nice size, good weight, and very pretty. They'll definitely be perfect for soups and salads. I am very pleased with these bowls.

These bowls are beautiful! They look and feel great quality! They are a good weight, but on the lighter side (more delicate than “cheap”). Great size and shape! Lovely outer design and inner pattern! Absolutely beautiful! I am very, very happy with these bowls!
