Very helpful, especially if you're squeamish
Probably not many people like the idea of sticking their fingers in a fishy mouth to get at a hook. Especially if we're talking piranhas, barracudas, etc. Thems got teeths!These are a good assist, especially for those hooks that travel a bit further down the gullet. And double especially if your fish gots teeths!

Awesome Fish Hook Removal Tool
This tool is well designed and easy to use, much easier to use than the traditional needle nose type pliers. My needle nose tools are getting extended R&R in my tackle box since I got this device, it's that awesome.Since the jaws of this device pivot near the end it's much easier to get it in place, and actually see what you're doing. You squeeze the handle to insert it in the fishes mouth, release slightly to grasp the hook and squeeze again as you manipulate the hook and bring it out. It very effectively keeps one's fingers well back from any sharp teeth that may be present.This tool would be a great gift to give to a fisherman friend or family member, it would be greatly appreciated. I really can't imagine doing any serious fishing without this apparatus now. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves to fish.

Simple and good quality.
Works like it should. Stainless seems to be of a decent quality. Will update if it rusts.

Great dehooker!
Needlenose pliers are easy to operate but are rather bulky and we lost our last pair of dehookers so we got these dehookers and they work great, easy to operate, store away great, easy to keep clean. Great to have when a hook is buried deep, less likely to injure the fish even worse.
