Q: how long does it last with regular use?

I bought my daughter 3 different designs of these files and she loved them but the metal mechanism failed in all of them in about 3 months. Really disappointing as a very beautiful product.

Q: How do edition 1 & edition 2 of the multi pack of 10 arch lever files differ? also, are each of the 10 files different, ie no duplicates? thanks

I only have the one single file. So apologies my answer wont be helpful
