I would say it is closer to Royal Blue than Navy Blue. I wanted a dark, navy color to match an item I was putting it on, but it is significantly lighter. So, if you are looking for a deep blue (Navy) color, you will likely be disapponted by the color. The quality of the tape is fine, but for $13.00 +, I expected to receive quality tape (actually, it is probably overpriced).
