It worked fine for 6p4c plugs. I bought this tool and some plugs and built myself four 1-foot phone cables by stealing some wire from one of my telephones. The cost of this unit and the plugs was the same as if I had purchased 4 1-foot phone cables already assembled---and now I have a FREE Crimper-Stripper-Cutter. It worked for all three functions. It may not be great for thousands of connections and I do not know how it works for the other plugs---but it worked for me just fine. Maybe I would buy a better one if I were in the business, but for amateur work. this is a great deal. Furthermore this was the first time that I had ever used one of these tools. I watched some YouTube Videos and all my attempts worked on the first try. Looks like Amazon has this same tool under different names????

For not a lot of money... this crimper does it all. Great deal.

Used at home for a few heads, all of the crimps I did worked perfectly fine.
