AQA Activate KS3 Science Student Book 1

I’m very happy with my purchase. This is an excellent and useful book for Year 7 children who want to do well in science.

This book was a game changer for my son in secondary school. I would strongly recommend purchasing the collection of these books as it improved my son’s knowledge and grades drastically . Filled with useful information and goes into thorough detail without being complicated. Very happy.

Just what the children needed. A very helpful tool.

This is the exact book that my child uses in school, proving very useful to re-inforce what she is learning. Love the questions they have to check understanding. Would be noce though to have answers somewhere so as a parent you could be confident thta you are pointing your child in the right direction. Have removed a star for this otherwise it would have been a perfect 5 star.

GOOD CONTENT!!!!!! This book is very useful for work and studying and all the content inside is amazing I recommend this book to anyone who needs a steady good learning book for them.

Just exactly what I needed for my daughter to progress in her science class, very good explanations, easy to understand and on top of all the school uses the same book.

My children have access to these books on line through the school web-portal. Having a copy to hand tough it so much easier for them to use. Decent print quality and finish. Great study aid aligned to the majority of school curriculum.

I was looking forward to receiving this book - a bang-up-to-date curriculum needs up to date resources too. I may be incredibly unlucky and have picked the only lesson they've missed out, but I have a lesson to teach to year 7s on magnetism and so I thought I would check out that section to see how similar it was to the section in the previous book. Well - there's no lesson / page for magnetism. Electromagnetism yes, but not your ordinary bar-magnet and plotting magnetic field lines stuff! I though that maybe our school had its scheme of work wrong, and were trying to teach things that aren't on the syllabus, but I've checked the National curriculum and as well as electromagnets, we should definitely be covering: magnetic poles, attraction and repulsion magnetic fields by plotting with compass, representation by field lines Earth’s magnetism, compass and navigation The book is thicker than the old Activate 1, so there must be more content in there, but I really would have expected it to cover ALL of the National Curriculum! Update 20th Feb - No DC motors either!

Because it really helps me understand the topic of each lesson that i am taking in class
