SonyXperia XZ2 UK SIM-Free Smartphone - Liquid Black [UK]

I had an Xperia Z5 for 3 years, sadly the battery was getting weak so I had decided to upgrade. I like Android's OS and started looking at my options. Most of the phones were quite expensive and didn't offer me more for the asking price. XZ2 was an obvious choice considering that the price was around £300. It feels a little heavier than Z5 but feels sleek. The camera is good and has a lot of different functionalities. At first, it might seem like Pixel or iPhone cameras are easier to use and produce better images. However, Sony offers you more settings which are great once you know how to use them, plus better low light images and a much better resolution with 19 megapixels. I like the fact you can customise your home screen with different themes, colours, grid layout and widgets. Another useful feature is the single hand mode. All of those features are very limited on some Android devices that I have used as well. If you are looking for a stylish phone, that does not cost like a laptop (£800+), I would definitely recommend. Plenty of useful functionalities at a good price. Anything else that might seem better, cost an extra £200-400 which is almost another phone.

I bought this as an upgrade from my Sony ☓.I purchased it as an amazon warehouse deal. Condition "as new"It certainly came packaged as new. All accessories still in bags, phone still wrapped in plastic.I'm not sure how long it's been hanging around in the warehouse for, as it needed 13 individual software UPDATES!! Taking just under 7 HOURS to complete!I almost lost the will to live!But, having said that. I'm, glad I persevered.The battery life is excellent. I can get 2 full days use.The camera is good. Nothing fantastic, but does the job. I like the fact it has a quick camera button on the side, so you don't have to unlock the phone first.It basically does everything my old Sony x did. Just better and faster.It also not too big, so still fits in your pocket or slot in your handbag.I do recommend buying a cover for it. It is very shiny and slippery in your hand.Overall a great mid priced phone, with lots of good features.

This is my everyday phone. I love it. Very fast, lots of storage, wifi and bluetooth connections are pretty instant. Battery life is great - with heavy use only needs charge every few days. The screen quality is excellent with deep blacks and shadows, and the adaptive brightness works very well even in bright sunshine. Screen mirroring is quick and efficient. If you don't want to fork out the money on the very latest model, but want a quality phone definitely consider the xz2.

I was prepared to wait over a month for this phone, as it seemed the perfect upgrade for my Sony L3, with a more up to date OS and longer battery life and better features. However, on switching on it appears that it had been set up for the Bosnia market and it proved very tiresome trying to understand and negotiate the settings. The biggest disappointment at first was the battery life. It was losing charge at the rate of about 10% per hour. However after a couple of full charges, it now holds charge for approx 36 hours. Screen is very crisp. Camera has some nice features. Would have preferred the fingerprint sensor to be on the side, but you get used to the central reverse location. The quad stereo speakers are fantastic for their size. I really like the deep (sea) green colour and the additioan internal storage space a bonus. Overall I am very please with this purchase. Very good value for money.

Brought a phone case for phone however the back of the phone was shattered after a couple of weeks. So I returned it.

Being a couple of years old now, this phone is currently available at a very sensible price. OK, so it's not a cutting edge Sony flagship phone, but it's still a really good spec and works perfectly. Everything is logical and easy to access, the camera is excellent, the memory doesn't lag even when playing games, and the sound quality is superb - and it has stereo speakers! Plus, of course, it's got a decent amount of water resistance so it's rain proof and beach proof! If you want a good phone at a good price, and can get your hands on a brand new one, I'd thoroughly recommend it, though stocks of new ones seem to be dwindling.
