Exactly as advertised. One end goes into the device, the other into the vehicle, and there you go, you’re now streaming what’s on your phone to your vehicles speaker system. I have heard a few complaints or issues with things not complementing each other, but for me it was LITERALLY PLUG AND PLAY. No issues with latency or audio pollution, it’ll just kick awake in your car speakers. Very cool, could definitely have used a pair of these in my old truck, happy to have them now.

This is a great little wireless Apple CarPlay adapter. You have to wait for the car's system to initialize, then this thing initializes with a welcome screen, and then finally it connects to your phone. That's to be expected, but make sure you are expecting this slight delay. In my one to two weeks of experience it has reliably connected every time.Compared to a direct connection, one thing that's different is when connected through this adapter, CarPlay doesn't know when the car is moving. So, it allows full functionality (vs. crippling things at times). This can be good or bad depending on your perspective.Overall, it's a great little adapter.

Installed this Wireless adapter onto my 2018 VW Tiguan. It was really simple, I just plugged the device into the factory USB port, followed the setup instructions, and my phone was connected. Now every time I turn on the car, it automatically connects with no lag or issues. This unit is far more affordable than others out here and I highly recommend you try it out.

I find this device very convenient to use. It's nice to be able to just get in the car and pull off and not have to worry about plugging in my phone. The initial installation was simple, I just followed the included instructions which were well written. The sound quality is the same as when using the cord. It continues to work even if I do choose to plug in the phone when it needs charging.That said, the convenience does come at a cost. It can sometimes take several minutes before the device connects to my phone and is ready to play on CarPlay. The time varies depending on the particular situation. One situation though where I have to intervene is when I step out the car and leave it running with someone in the car, like if I need to pick up an item at the store really quick. When I return, the phone has disconnected and won't automatically reconnect and so I have to manually go to Bluetooth settings and reconnect. Additionally, there is a slight delay in the interface. For example, If I press pause, there's a couple seconds delay before it stops, same for pressing play or other controls.

I was surprised that my 2024 Genesis GV70 only had a wired AirPlay connection, so I purchased this adapter to remedy the situation.In the box, you'll get the small, thin wireless device, a USB-A to USB-C adapter, and the instructions.The instructions were well written and clear. I followed them step-by-step to install the adapter and connect the unit to my phone. My car has a USB-A connection, so I did not need to use the USB-C adapter. I had no issues following the instructions.The unit was picked up by my car almost immediately and within minutes I was connected to CarPlay. The functionality is quick, with no lag or delay from input to display on the screen.The main issue with these units seems to be random disconnects and reconnecting when entering and exiting the vehicle. I've used this unit for two weeks now and have experienced no disconnects and no issues when getting into the vehicle. Upon startup, the head unit picks up the CarPlay almost immediately and displays the welcome screen. Once connected, I haven't had any issues staying connected to my iPhone 14.Overall, this adapter is a great value and works as expected. It connects quickly, is quick and stays connected. A solid 5 stars.

This review is for the wireless CarPlay adapter (for some reason other reviews for a card reader are on this product page as well).Using in a ‘16 CX-3. Overall, works pretty well. Takes 15-20 seconds to automatically connect. Commands from the car’s screen or buttons are fast without any noticeable lag. Slight delay for music if using the phone itself for controls. Otherwise, a great way to have the added convenience of wireless CarPlay. Only downside is additional battery drain, so you’re still going to plug your phone in for longer trips.

Unfortunately, it didn’t work for my car.

I will first tell you that I am using an iPhone 11 with IOS 17.1.1. My automobile and CarPlay stereo in a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. I can't say that this unit might be more reliable with other hardware configurations, but my phone and car have offered very minimal reliability. The unit works by making a BT connection every time you start your car. After the BT connection, the WIFI is connected and the BT is dropped. If, for some reason, the WIFI is interrupted, the whole process begins all over. The problem with my equipment was the WIFI signal kept dropping and causing the whole system to restart. The instructions (small book and VERY small writing) tell you to reset your WIFI settings as a last resort. Most people understand that this is a true hassle, but I did reset my WIFI settings. This led to no improvement. I really wanted this product to work and it certainly might work, but not with my setup. I will also say that my wired CarPlay functions perfectly and my iPhone also works without any BT or WIFI issues.My final 3 star review comes form not being certain how reliable this is with the optimum equipment, but considering my issues, I suspect there could be some compatibility issues. When it worked, it was very handy.
