I love these watercolors. I love the variety of colors included and most of the colors are different than are in other quality paint sets I have which is the big reason I decided to purchase. Plus the price is so reasonable especially compared to top name brands. I've been so pleased at how easily they wet down and are creamy and easy to use and they are beautiful and vibrant. Even my husband noticed that after I painted a couple of floral cards. I would compare them favorably to top name brands like D.S and W.N. which I also own. I bought it in the set with one of their Paul Rubens 100% cotton wc paper leather bound pads. What a bargain. I haven't used the wc pad yet but I'm excited to try it. It is hot press paper.

I love the very special presentation of the set. It comes in a very sturdy box that is decorative and similar to the palette design also. The palette is metal and very sturdy. I like that the individual paint pans are wrapped when you open the palette and the wrapper is very easy to slip off. I save the wrappers either with a paperclip to secure them if I need to read the information on it. Good to save it! I have glued the labels to my swatch card with. a few other paint sets. This set comes already with a swatch paper that is folded in half and fits right into the palette . I like that it is on mica glitter paper. I don't know if it shows up on my photos. I wonder if they sell that paper? I will have to check. The paint is easy to rewet and colors are vibrant. I drew a black line down the swatch paper before painting to see if any were opaque. As expected the Naples Yellow is semi transparent (has added white to it as Naples yellow does) and the Lemon Yellow seemed to have just a tiny bit , so calling it semi transparent. The colors were very vibrant and not much paint needed to display the colors boldly so maybe with a thicker consistency will show more of an opaqueness with the Naples yellow. Overall, very pleased with this set of Paul Rubens 5th generation watercolor set! I haven't painted a painting yet solely with this set yet. I can add to my review when I do.

I’ll admit that I bought this set because I saw a YouTuber reviewing it. I didn’t really need another watercolor set because I already have around 15 or 20 of them. (I’ve lost count.)But I’m honestly very happy with my purchase and I find myself reaching for this set over some of my favorites. The quality of the paint itself and of the tin and mixing palette is why. The color selection is quite nice, but my only real complaint is that some of the colors are too similar to each other. I would have preferred another green over one of the blues or oranges that look too similar. I can mix my own green, but I prefer to have some of my most-used colors already mixed for ease of use and I find myself wanting a good warm mid-tone green. There a bright green and two dark cooler tone greens, but nothing in between.Aside from that, I love this palette. There’s space in between the paints to put pans from another set, so I’ll probably take a few favorites from other sets and put them there to combine them into one ideal palette.

I have many PR paints - I haven't touched this yet but I already know the paint quality will be excellent. As usual, the item arrived in perfect condition. The tin is not at all dented because it is wrapped in a soft cloth and packaged in a sturdy box. The design on the tin is not my favorite but it's what's inside that matters most.

I have been painting with watercolors for a little over 4 years and started out using liquid watercolors and have slowly evolved working now with only pan paints. While I would not change my route I can tell you that I have definitely found my most favorite pans of paint with this Paul Rubens YOU LAN 24 count. The paint is so creamy and glides beautifully on the watercolor paper and I loved painting the swatch card and seeing how transparent it becomes by seeing the very fine sparkle that is embedded in the paper of the swatch card. I will continue to purchase Paul Rubens different watercolor palettes. Beautiful paint for a VERY reasonable cost. Well worth what you’re spending.

I am just a novice, but I am stunned by how beautiful the paints are on paper. Wow. Pictures cannot do justice. The two yellows are very similar, but the rest of the paint is so good I honestly can't complain.

This set of colors does not disappoint! Fresh and vibrant... I like to describe them as "juicy" - they are wonderful. I like they way they work with 100% cotton paper, but they also perform well on wood pulp.Get them and have some FUN!

I’m picky about paint. I was wanting a set of pan paints and saw this on a Prime day special though I’d give it a try. Wow. Not in the least bit disappointed in this set. Good quality paint, intense colors, mix well, rewet well. I am very pleased.

Beautiful packaging but the box has a small dented abrasion on top. Nice paint set, although all of the paint pans were dry around the edges and little bits of paint were floating in the tin. The sparkle watercolour paper included is impressive. I don't have a lot of experience with watercolour painting but it will take practice to improve.

I was looking for a good starter watercolour set. The listing did say this one was for beginners, but it looks and feels so professional. I was blown away. I feel totally out of my league. There's a broad colour selection; they're vibrant and have great depth. Even my untrained-watercolourist eye can see the quality, not only in the paints, but also in the beautiful presentation and detailed tin and its configuration. I'm a firm believer in using good quality tools and materials, and I think I've found that here. I look forward to diving into it and experimenting more.
