I usually wear a large but based on previous posts saying they ran big I purchased a Medium. Sizing is good and it fits over other clothes well. Prior to my fishing trip (that I purchased it for) I did a water test and it is indeed waterproof. The material is rather thin but I didn’t buy it for warmth, just to protect me from getting drenched while fishing. I have tried other heavier material suits but they felt like I was wearing rubber and didn’t breathe AT ALL! This gear is perfect for what I need and for the price a great value.

My first impression upon opening this suit was that it did not seem like rain gear at all. The outside material isn't your typical rain suit type material. Usually, you've got something that is PVC and plastic-like or a nicer material with a waterproof coating on it. This feels like a coarser fabric and definitely not what you expect a rain suit to feel like. However, the inside makes it clear that it is designed to hold back water.Like others have noted, it is on the larger side. However, I don't see why you wouldn't want it to be that way in a rain suit. I think that's how it should be. It makes it much easier to slip on and off over existing clothing.I have Gore-tex rain gear that I primarily carry on the fishing boat. That keeps all water out without any issue, but it is 10-15x the cost of something like this. If you can't afford the best quality rain gear, this will likely be a good option for you. You also don't NEED the Gore-tex for most rains. Unless you've got an all day soaking rain or heavy downpour, this should be sufficient to keep you dry.I've used plenty of KastKing items, including tools, clothing, storage, etc. Everything from them I've used is good quality and has held up. While this will not replace my Gore-tex as my main rain gear on the fishing boat, I will probably keep this in my truck or elsewhere for emergencies. It is easy to slip on over existing clothing, packs up compactly, and should keep me dry or relatively so when I need it.

The rainsuit is nice and light. Seems well built. I really like the elastic wristbands to keep water out. Size runs a little large. I normally wear XL but large size is plenty big. Larger size is most likely due to you will be wearing over other clothes, so understandable. Material might be a little noisy, but as long as I'm dry I couldn't care less. Another quality product from Kastking.

Great rain suit when you need one in a pinch. Easy to pack and store in case you get caught suddenly. Nice seems and pockets. Much better quality than you would get at other similar suits at this price point. I agree with some of the other reviews that it's a little stiff. I think that's a better compromise as it seems more durable. I was debating be tween a Large and an XL. I'm 6'1'' and about 215. I went with the large and it is perfect, even to put over a hoodie or more bulky clothing.

I really like that all pockets and front zipper are backed up with a velcro flap insuring a good water proof seal. I normally wear a large but looking at the reviews before purchasing, I decided on a medium and it fits perfectly. Bottom line, I suggest dropping down one size and you will be pleased. It's designed for complete protection from the rain which I consider the most important thing. Very little chance for rain getting past this suit!

We purchased these based on reviews. While they are lightweight, they are NOT waterproof. We went backpacking a couple of days ago and encountered rain (not heavy) for a couple of hours. My husband wore the same set as well. Both of our jackets were wet on the inside. We will be sending these back.Follow up: We processed this order to return (I do have a return label) and my account now shows that they are sending us a replacement, which I hadn't requested. I now will need to return that order that I didn't order. I have no faith that it will not happen again!

The material feels pretty good for what you paying for. However the sizing it way too bit. I am in between shirts L or XL and this suit is crazy big. The pants legs were long and the jacket is very loose. Probably nice to wear in raining colder days. You could wear it easily with a jacket underneath. Definitly consider a smaller size when ordering.
