I made the mistake of buying a cheaper one thinking they’re all pretty much the same thing. Nope. This Phillips product is by far wonderful easy to use easy to clean. I love it. The coffee is absolutely delicious. The expresso is wonderful. It is a game changer for coffee lovers!

Bought product read instructions and watched all videos online at Philips. Set everything up per manufacturer recommendations. After 2 months product start not controlling the grind amount. And pressure is not not building past the under extraction point making espressos that are half foam. Went through all trouble shooting videos in manual and online still not working. Contact Amazon, they will not replace at this point. Recommend to contact Philips. Call them on the phone for 30 min explaining to someone who can barely speak English how to spell my name, etc. and explaining that I don’t need trouble shooting help. I have already done all of that and that I simply would like the unit replaced. They needed the serial number a model number which was already registered on Philips which they said they couldn’t access. Said they could not assist me until then. So after literally 45 min of being on we got a name, email, nature of the issue I was experiencing. Pretty terrible experience all around especially for the money you pay

Been using for several weeks now, and I’m most impressed with the quality and versatility of the unit. I’ve constantly been adjusting the grind and amount of coffee, and been making Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos and hot chocolates. Everything has surpassed expectations. Easy to clean too! A great purchase.

I’ve had this machine a few months. It’s my first big girl espresso machine where I have to press the puck and watch the pressure gauge. It can be tricky but I figured it out after a few days and some TikTok research on how to make pressure.Keep in mind I am no barista nor fussy coffee drinker.Pros: absolutely love the americano feature. I use this 90% of the time! Large water tank. Automatic grinder. User friendly for new people trying to get their foot in the door. Husband enjoys frother.Cons: coffee grinder sprays grounds all over. The floor, the counter, behind the fridge… you’ll find them where you least expect it. Excess water discharge when the contraption de-pressurizes. Now, I don’t know much about how it works, but after completing a pull, about 1/3 cup water drains out of the system into the discharge catch tray. I buy distilled so it is annoying how much the machine wastes but this might be normal for every espresso maker? No clue.Buy it on sale, don’t pay full price.

Worth the price

Here's what I like about this machine: #1 It's very compact considering all the functionality, #2 Well designed and high quality, #3 Brews a great latte , #4 The portafilter has a pad that catches the sink edge for support when you tamp the ground coffee with the calibrated tamper, #5 It was easy for me as a first timer to learn to use , #6 the milk jug has a built in thermometer than allows lets you know the milk temperature as you froth the milk for a consistent result.I highly recommend this machine!

As other buyers have mentioned, the grinder ejects grounds everywhere. Additionally, it is imprecise; every grind is different in amount. I understand you should measure each dose, but for this expensive of a product, and a "semi-automatic" product, it's a bit disappointing the button for grinding 2 shots of espresso gives a very varied amount.The pressure dial doesn't show the actual BAR of the pressure and is simply unmarked - which I can kind of understand because consumers may not understand the significance of specific pressures in espresso. Regardless, I'd prefer the actual measurements.There's no point in using ANY of the buttons on the machine if you want a remotely precise cup of espresso. Which makes me wonder, why this product? Might as well just get a cheaper espresso machine if you're doing everything manually anyways.
