Well made
This is well made. This is for small circles. Will look into one for larger circles if they make one.

Sturdy aluminum construction
This aluminum router jig is sturdy. It is designed for handheld trim routers with a square pattern to mount. If your router does not fit that pattern you will need to be willing to drill some holes. I found the primary use is as a circle jig, but it has an edge guide function for grooving also. The hardware works smoothly and it is marked. The markings are painted and will rub off when scuffed. I do not know what the 4 in 1 uses are, I only count 2.

Will NOT work with DeWalt 611
I ordered the unit and spent an hour or more trying to figure out how it would attach to my DeWalt 611. I looked on the page for details. No luck.ONLY after going to their website (smartsaker.com) did I find that the unit does not work with the DeWalt. I have attached the page.It would have been nice to have that information before I ordered.

Terrific for Routing Circles
We acquired this for our woodworking shop. It is solidly constructed. We used this jig to route circles onto wood. We simply set the radius we needed on the jig with the router attached on one end. We then hammered a finish nail partway into the center of the circle we wished to route. We hooked the jig to the nail, and routed. It was that simple.

Good Quality But Looks Like It Is Mostly Proprietary To Makita Compact Routers
This is only a partial list of known compact routers that will and will not work with this jig. The information comes from the SAKER product page and other sources. In some cases, the brand was listed but not the model number.WILL FIT:Makita RT700C/DRT50/3790/370 compact trim routers also WORKPRO 6.5 Amp Compact Router, AVID POWER 6.5 Amp 1.25 HP, THINKWORK 6.5 Amp 1.25 HP Compact RouterDOES NOT FIT:DeWalt DWP611PK, DeWalt DWP611, DeWalt DCW600, BOSCH 1617EVSPK, BOSCH PR20EVS, HARBOR FREIGHT BAUER 19121E-B SKU-58253, RIGID R860444It appears that if your compact router is another brand but follows the Makita platform line in how it is built, you might have better luck of your compact router fitting this product. It looks like the SAKER jig is pretty much proprietary to the Makita line of compact routers. If you look at the DOES NOT FIT list, while I cannot say for certain, if you own a brand name from this list even though the model isn’t noted, I wouldn’t order this jig.I personally found the jig to be pretty good quality and works well. You are able to cut both straight and radius cuts. It looks and feels like the numbering on the rulers are laser etched into the aluminum and are easy to read. The jig is easily assembled or disassembled and I like that the router mounting plate comes completely off because I plan on making my own mounting plate for one of my routers that doesn’t work with this jig. I also tried my old generic compact router called HOBBY SHOP that I purchased from a BIG LOTS retail store probably over 20 years ago and it fit and works with this jig. So, I guess I am pretty fortunate in having a couple routers that do work with this SAKER product.

tried to use with Ryobi Cordless Router, hole patterns would not work!
I needed a tool to create perfect round circles and ordered this product. When it came, first, the was a single page of instructions and the first step was to secure the router to the plate... problem is.. no matter how i tried i could not align my ryobi cordless router screw patterns to the plate. So, buyer beware, if you have a ryobi cordless router, this product WILL NOT FIT.. and so i am returning. My model number for my router is P601 from Ryobi

Not precision Homemade better
Base plate doesnt match with all 4 best bet secure with 2 but makes bit off center. Alot of play in the straight rod. Needs shimmed way too much wiggle in arm to cut true rounds cuts.Edge cutting same. Too much play in arm to base attachment point to cut true straight lines. If accurate cuts matter to you seek out higher quality. This is a fail execution with a sexy precision look only.Return.
