Greenland Home Antique Chic Quilt-Sets, Full/Queen (5 Piece), Multi

We are downsizing our home due to our age. Our new home is smaller, and will be located further out beyond the sticks. If you wanna come see us, you will have to bring your own sticks with you. Now, while trying to find the ideal size home we wanted, I chose this pattern for my bedroom and the matching shower curtain for the bathroom. Along the way, I ordered king-size, over sized-king, queens and one twin size with shams that match. Even some throw pillows were in the mix and I have actually reordered the curtains, additional quilts in several of the above-mentioned sizes, so I can cover my dining room chairs and make a table cloth from the twin size for a 60" round table I have ordered extra shams to cover extra pillows for the den and bedrooms. Because of the classic designs and colors, I ordered black out drapes and curtains for different rooms and the backside of the quilts is a mustard yellow-gold which adds an extra layer of color to the pallet. Almost every room in our bigger home has many things that will blend with, and accent, these new quilts and extras. By the time we have all of it moved and arranged to get the look I am aiming for, even my antiques will look like they are a perfect fit. I am now considering making place mats, cloth napkins, valances, and table toppers from these to pull the entire new home together, making the whole home flow as a whole rather than a multitude of differently designed rooms. Because these quilts wash and wear so well, they will require very little maintenance. If I could put this in a picture today, I would, but it won't be finished fully until our move is done. Wanna help us move?? Y'all come, there's always a pot of coffee ready and a cauldron full of homemade bean soup on the stove...just bring your own bowl and spoon and come on, we'll be glad you came.

This will be a wee bit lengthy but i think a good, right on review for anyone taking time to read it. First, i got this 'quilt'. Second, Chezmoi Collection White Goose Down Comforter. Third, AmazonBasics printed, light weight flannel duvet cover. When i received this it was not as expected because it was 'stiffer' than i imagined a quilt to be and because it had a drab side. I don't think 'they' mention , or show , both sides. I 'enjoyed' sleeping under the quilt which i suggest you think of as more of a 'bed spread'. I have no complaints about quality but i haven't washed it. I was thinking of washing it to make it softer and less stiff but i may not wash this thing for a couple years because i'm single and don't see a reason to wash it unless i sweat under it which i don't think will happen because it's so 'airy' with ventilation when covered. This 'stiff' feature i'm now enjoying and never experienced before. Unlike the 'comforter and duvet' the this quilt doesn't 'hug' you and that's the reason i got the comforter then the duvet. I didn't intend this progression of purchases. The progression grew from the stiffness of this quilt. I have used this QUILT over the comforter / duvet and this combination is awesome. That flannel duvet and comforter are out of this world. With this QUILT on top i feel hugged. I never tuck my covers in at foot of bed and these can be arranged to snuggle you like your in the womb. But, i got to sweating now and then because this combo makes it warm, indeed. So, i'd take the duvet/comforter off and use this or visa versa. Summer has arrived and i'm going to use this alone. After looking at the 'drab' side i realize it's not 'drab' but opposite of 'vibrant' , more subdued , but a handsome , rustic look. It all depends on your taste and mood but it's nice to have two 'looks'. I have not washed it so i can't speak for anything that may happen post wash but mine is made wonderfully, looks great. Funny, i ordered a king quilt and a queen in the other combo and i have a queen mattress. I was going to return this but decided i love the way it looks draped over the bed. Now, i see many have spoken bad about the dimensions and i suggest you get with Amazon on this because i think you just were shipped the wrong size. My mattress is 12" THICK and is on a box spring held off the floor 14" (26" OFF THE FLOOR). With this Quilt pulled up to the top of the Queen mattress THE BOTTOM OF THIS QUILT HANGS 22" OVER THE BOTTOM OF THE BED TOUCHING THE FLOOR AT BOTH CORNERS. THIS QUILT HANGS 17" OVER BOTH SIDES OF THE MATTRESS. THUS, ON THE SIDES OF THE BED , THE QUILT IS 9" OFF THE FLOOR DRAPING 17" OVER THE SIDES. AT THE BASE OF THE BED THE QUILT IS 4" INCHES OFF THE FLOOR DRAPING 22" OVER THE SIDES AND , AMPLY , FLARES ON THE FLOOR. I was surprised at how far this thing hangs over the mattress and have lots and lots of room to pull the quilt high on the mattress. So, i suggest not to expect your regular thought of 'quilt' and slide into this with being open to something different. I do not think it's cheaply made but i have not washed it and don't have plans to do so for quite awhile. The big deal for me is the AIR under this quilt. This is not 'snuggle snuggle' around you quilt. It is thin , leaves plenty of air surrounding your body , very easy to move around in under this , almost feels like no weight on you. It has taken some time to get use to but, now, i love it. This keeps you warm once you lay there and your body heat fills the 'air pockets'. This is a new sensation in sleeping. Do not expect a thick snuggling quilt. Now, with the combination i purchased this is IDEAL with comfort, warmth, weight and snuggle factor that's heavenly. Their picture shows a quilt draped over the bed onto the ground and this will occur unless your mattress is not 27 inches off the floor. I just don't know what happened to the folks complaining this didn't drape enough other than to think they were shipped the wrong size. Mine is awesome over a Queen mattress, Queen comforter and duvet. That AmazonBasics flannel duvet it wowsa and the comforter is perfect for in the duvet. I would not get one without the other. So, get this if you want a 'nice bedspread' that serves as an airy light weight, just right weight quilt that looks as pictured lovely patches of hominess.

Was very pleased with the quality and construction, especially for the price. The patchwork are actually separate pieces of material! This will make for a good spring and summer cover/comforter. Will see how it holds up when I eventually have to wash it.It also fits my queen mattress they way I had hoped it would and falls just to the bottom of the box springs. This does not drape to the floor. There is a different version that does.

I love this quilt set. It’s very homey and cozy. But there are a few issues…The dimensions are no where close to California King. This quilt only falls about 8” or so over the foot of the bed. So you can see the sheets. It also only falls a few inches over each side, again showing the sheets on each side.This quilt starts to come apart at the seams, as well as developing holes in the material as it starts to disintegrate here and there, so you have to be prepared to repair it with a needle and thread. In one spot I had to sew on a patch about 5”x5” to cover a disintegrating spot in the material. This starts happening after it’s been washed a few times.The colors of this quilt are vibrant and gorgeous at first, but it starts fading quickly with the first wash.I’ve bought this same quilt set three times as each one wears out because I like it so much. I’d love to buy another one now since the current one is falling apart, but the price needs to come down more to make it worth the fading and the repair that needs to be done regularly.

Very happy with this quilt, being all cotton it is light and cool for the tropics, but warm enough for occasional cool mornings!The colours go with everything in our room, a beautiful combination of florals and patterns, and I love the roses in some of the patchwork squares and on the reverse side.I love anything antique, and this quilt has a lot of old world charm.It washes beautifully as well - I washed it on the cold setting in the washing machine before use and the colours are as vibrant as ever.It was quite a bit softer after washing and air drying, and our cat really approves as well!I am so impressed with the workmanship and design of this quilt that I have just ordered the Blooming Prairie for the spare room - they are certainly great value for money and would brighten up any room!
