Creoseal Plus 20 litre - Dark Brown - Creosote substitute - Oil based wood preserver

After the real deal = creosote proper - this is the best thing I've ever found for fences and anywhere that needs a solid waterproof coating. It's a "heavyweight product" that applies easily and is absolutely waterproof. It looks great, dries quickly, smells lovely and is easy to apply. It puts all that creocote rubbish to shame!!!! DON'T ever buy Creocote = it is utter crap!!! Buy this - it's £ for £ cheaper than creocote, lasts far, far longer than anything else and will leave you feeling proud of the job you've done. Absolutely excellent product.

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I have just erected a fence with 300+ 6ft boards and have used this on everything. I was weighing up the pros and cons of this to the water based treatment. I am very happy I chose this as is was easy to apply, looks good and has went a long way. It is very dark initially but soon soaks. I applied this with a roller when the boards were not on yet. It is messy and stains clothes but is easily washed off skin.

On time as described. A quality wood preservative , good coverage and results.

In use very much like traditional creosote so I felt that I was giving my old stables a badly needed treat. The only downside was that there was quite a lot of lumpy, undissolved tarry stuff that I resorted to filtering out with some old cloth, some string and a bucket.

On a warm dry day this product seeps in and a great colour with enough to do all my outbuildings.

Used to coat pressure treated wood prior to building a fence. Good coverage and even colour. Not as dark as I thought it would be, but that's fine with me. Looks more natural. Time will tell how long it lasts but I have plenty left to reapply several more times.

I have a large 50+ Meter fence that needs to get treated yearly, this tub did the whole lot and I have about 1/2 left so good of next year.Goes on very easily and is dry reasonable quickly but being oil based its water proof straight away.One tip, it does need a good initial mix, so use one of those mixer bits you fit on a drill to ensure its mixed properly before use.10/10 would use again.

This stuff is great. If you want the closest thing to real creosote then this is it. Goes on well. Very dark brown, almost black. Previously used creocote stuff which isn’t as good as this.
