This is mainly good for something small, like a stove top or trash can fire. This will absolutely not put out the flame of a vehicle, unless you are fighting the SPARK that would ignite the fuel or oil. These fire extinguishers just do not contain enough material to battle an active blaze, and will become depleted in a handful of seconds. For a fire bigger than three feet, you would need one of those large fire extinguishers that you see in office buildings, but this will do for just about anything below that.

I have NOT used these yet. They came in undamaged and the instructions seems pretty clear. It's water based so don't use with things like grease or something else you can't use water on. They look easy to use. Pop the tab off and use the trigger. I bought them for just in case as I didn't have a fire extinguisher. They have brought some peace of mind. Giving them full stars and will change if I need to when/if I use them.

I have not used these so cannot attest to their effectiveness, but the size is great and they seem easy to use. I wanted a smaller size fire extinguisher for our pantry and laundry room. These fit the bill. We have large extinguishers in other rooms, but for the small rooms these seem perfect.

Each extinguisher weighs about 20 oz, and they are about 10 1/2" tall and 2 5/8" diameter. Each one is marked with an expiration date that is just under four years from now. They're a nice size for keeping in the kitchen next to the stove where you probably don't want to store a big 5 lb tank, although they aren't suitable for a grease fire. You should do your research first to make sure that these water-based extinguishers will work for your intended application. The operation looks straightforward, with instructional pictures clearly shown on the label. You just pull up on a tab at the top to enable the trigger, then aim and spray.I got these to use as a first line of defense in the event of a fire in my CO2 laser. Since they are water-based, I don't need to worry that they will damage the electronics in the laser the way a dry chemical extinguisher would and the type of materials that I usually cut with the laser, and might catch fire, are good candidates for this type of extinguisher. Ideally, I would use a CO2 or Halotron extinguisher, but those are very expensive, so I wanted something cheaper that I wouldn't be hesitant to use if necessary. These fit that bill just fine.

It's hard to rate a fire extinguisher until you actually have to use it. This device says it is water based and good for all types of fires, so I hope it works as advertised. It seems well made and says it conforms to DOT requirements. The trigger on the extinguisher is blocked by a small plastic tab you have to break off before use, to prevent accidental discharge. I broke the tab off of my units so I won't have to figure out what to do if I really need to use it.

IM ONLY GIVING 4 STARS BECAUSE HAVEN'T USED IT YET. PRAY I NEVER HAVE TOO. BUT ANYWAY ITS HERE IF I NEED IT. THERE ARE TWO IN A BOX. SOUNDS PRETTY SIMPLE TO USE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS AIM BELOW THE FIRE TO PUT IT OUT. I THINK THIS IS GREAT FOR IN THE KITCHEN OR CAR. ITS WATER BASED AND NON TOXIC. THEY ARE 5 IN ONE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS. THIS NOT FOR A ROARING LION. I WILL CALL THE BIG RED TRUCK. IM NOT A FIREMAN .
