Edit: I bought this case back in like 2016 had it for 4 years and it did deteriorate over time. Mostly the hard plastic started just cracking from wear and tear. I highly recommend though because after 4 years of abuse the thing that broke my phone was it getting run over by a car, and not from the lack of protection this case provided. The photos are from 2 years ago I would say that’s when it started to break down but it held up for another two years, and considering people don’t keep phones that long anymore I’m going to say that this a solid case.I’ll start with what I enjoy about the product...The Commuter case is sleek, slim and it fits in my pocket perfectly, unlike a lot of cases now a days including some of the other cases otter box puts out.To add to that note the slimness is deceiving, but in a good way, this is probably the most shock resistant slim case I’ve ever had. Most smaller cases that barely cover your phone leave room for the screen cracking when dropped.For a slim case that’s durable this can be rather cheap even compared to cases that do nothing but look pretty;So this is a perfect fit for anyone who doesn’t like the clunky cases but wants something durable.Now the dislikes...This product is not an all in one product, it isn’t dust proof, it isn’t water proof, and there is nothing covering the screen except for a little bit of a lip around the perimeter to absorb shockThis isn’t a fancy case, it’s very straightforward and kinda basic. Like all otter box cases there isn’t much design to it, you can jazz up the color but be prepared to pay extra ESPECIALLY on amazon. (You’re looking at 10-20$ more for a specific color pattern.)These last few aren’t a big deal to me, but I’ll mention it anyways in case they’re deal breakers for someone else. (Side Note: These come from having this case over an extended period of time) First, like I said, this isn’t dust proof; be prepared to be confronted with gook and grime on your phone when taking it off, if you don’t clean it regularly that is. It’s not disgustingly bad but it is noticeable. Next, although the case looks easy and simple it can be rather hard to put on and take off. A lot of the time it feels like I might break my case just from taking it off, which luckily hasn’t happened. So if you’re looking for an easy to remove case this probably won’t be it, it’s a snug fitting case. Lastly, after years of use and being a fidgety person and constantly playing with the flaps for the charger port and aux cord, the small hard plastic part at the bottom left corner that rims the screen came off. I mostly blame myself for that rather than the actual case.It seems like there’s a lot of disklikes but trust me when I say this is a quality case, it might not be for everyone, but if it fits your needs than I highly suggest it.Sincerely, the person that drops their phone everyday

The Otter Box commuter series iPhone case is a great for people who live an active lifestyle, or for people who work in harsh environments and tend to be hard on things. As for me, I like to take my phone with me while I workout, go horseback riding, or work around the farm. With my way of life, I like my phone case to be durable, thin, easy to manipulate, shatter resistant, and wont show signs of wear. This phone case not only meets my expectations, but it exceeds them.My Criteria:• Durability: I spend a lot of time outdoors, and it is not uncommon for my phone to fall out of my pocket onto the ground or into a pigpen for that matter. I tend to be a little rough on things and I like a phone case that can keep up with my hardworking livelihood.• Thin: What I like best about this phone case is that it’s thin enough to fit into the back pocket of my jeans. Most of the “protective” cases I’ve seen are very bulky and hard to carry around in your pockets. This case also fits perfectly in my small hands.• Easy to Manipulate: When I need to plug my phone into the charger or connect my headphones, I don’t have to un-screw or un-snap anything compared to the lifeproof cases. That was always a problem for me, as it took way too long to just simply plug in my charger, or connect my headphones.• Shatter Resistant: I like that this phone case is shatter resistant without having to completely enclose my phone inside a case. I want my phone case to be able to withstand being dropped, chewed on by a pig, and stepped on by a horse. Unbelievably, this case has survived it all.• No Signs of Wear: I chose the black case because I knew that if I got a lighter color it would show dirt and other stains. I am also happy to have found out that it also doesn’t get scratched up from being dropped. I’ve had this case for a year and it still looks brand new.Downfall:Although I am very satisfied with this phone case, if there is one thing I could change about it, would be to make it waterproof or at least water resistant. This is not a necessity by any means; however, it would just be an added bonus to be able to take your phone with you everywhere, knowing you could potentially be getting your phone wet and it would be just fine.Summary:Overall I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend this case to anyone who wants a durable, protective phone case that isn’t bulky. I am pleased with how long it has lasted, and not only does the case look brand new, but has kept my phone looking brand new as well.

I purchased this for my new iPhone and since I'm a carpenter, I needed something a little robust to protect my phone while working. It's sleek and simple and provides decent protection but dust will still get inside. It needs to be taken apart and cleaned every so often. The only thing I don't like about it is the sides of the case actually cave in slightly when the side buttons are pressed, which actually hits and causes the screen protector to lift up at the sides. And once dust gets in there it's basically rendered useless. I had to replace the provided protector within a couple of months and now my new one is doing the same thing. I either need a smaller screen protector or one big enough to slip under the edges of the case (or upgrade to something with a built-in protector).

These cases are one of the best cases out there. Never had a problem with them if they are genuinely otter-boxes.My original one lasted me for more than 2.5 years without issues. I still have it and just recently it started to break down, but that is 2.5 years of constant use and dropping it on the floor more than 10 times from my memory.iPhone 6 never had issues with it and it protects it very well. I noticed only a few times it was getting hot but that was because I was charging it near a window sill where there was sun shining directly on the phone (doh!).This product is good enough to spend my hard earned money on. Hope you get the same results.

Sturdy case for the iPhone 6. If you toss your iPhone around alot like me, this is a good case to get - particularly off Amazon since it costs like 30+ in Best Buy. I was a little disappointed however that this isn't the one with a wallet. I was looking for the Otterbox that has a cardholder built into the case and I mistakenly purchased this one. However, if you're looking for a hard case that can protect your iPhone, this is the one to go to.
