I wanted to start this off by saying that the item I originally got had an issue and the vendor offered a replacement that did not have the same problem.This is a super cute shadow box that even has a cute handle that gives it an edge over the standard display case. The handle comes separately and so you can choose to put them in or to leave them out. The assembly is super quick so no worries there. You just have to screw both sides to the box. The acrylic piece comes covered with a film. I note this so there is no misunderstanding like in my initial impression of the item. It would be nice if they had a little slip saying this like other items I’ve had.

This little natural wood display box is well made and sturdy and has precise and nicely joined corners. The sliding acrylic partition is easy to move and I was surprised at the quality of the handle which is completely finished unlike the box. This box would be easy to personalize with markers and could be decorated by anyone as a gift. The wood has a very low odor and does not smell like fresh pine sap. A great box for the price.

I looked at this for two seconds before ordering as it's literally so cute! I make miniatures and this shadow box is perfect for a mini scene. I tend to go over the top with my projects so this limited space will help keep me contained. I got the larger size for 1/12 scale miniatures. The box needs a little sanding but that is to be expected for unfinished wood crafts. The handle requires simple assembly with the two screws provided. I may use the handle it comes with, but I may also decide to replace it with a different one. We'll see. The possibilities are endless with this cute little box! Highly recommend!
