I had this same boot and wore them for ~6 years. I wanted to get a new pair to replace the old ones. The new ones (same style and size) don't fit properly. I found they were too large, such that I felt like I was going to walk right out of them. I noticed I had to pull pretty hard to get my old pair on while I could easily slide my feet into the new ones without even bending over. They're far too loose and pretty much unwearable. Very disappointing considering I wore my old pair comfortably for so long.

I have the regular roper boot in distressed leather and have loved them for about 10 years. When I needed work boots I searched for Ariat and was thrilled to find they had these in a work boot. Hard to find in stores in my size. Only worn them for 1 week, great so far, need to add a Dr Scholl's insert for comfort and better fit, I have a narrow foot. Also, since they have the work sole, not as flexible as the regular version, probably will take longer to break in. I work at a nuclear plant being decommissioned and walk a mile each way from parking to my desk. After that I sit most of the day.

I work construction they are very comfortable and last longer than most boots bo.

The first pair of boots I received were way too narrow. I wear a size 10 regular width in everything but my foot would barely go into the first pair. The second pair I received, after ordering a 10 wide pair, fit much better but the coloring was much, much darker like a dark brown. With not enough time left before the event that I ordered them for to exchange them, I guess I'll keep them. Best bet is to go to a store that carries the boots you want.
