Nice classic manual well pump. We use it for an actual well but this would also look nice as lawn decor.

To start I have to mention that the manufacturer did not provide any padding or cushioning in the box at all to help protect the pump in the box during shipping of the pump that I had received. With the weight of the cast several corners of the pump had burst through the sides creating fairly large holes in the box just from normal handling and shipping. This did not really affect the function of the pump itself but did slightly damage/chip the paint on those areas. The cast was fairly roughly done and not quite as smooth as the product pictures however there was at least an attempt to smooth out the bore so the leather will seal well enough to function properly. The pump is somewhat heavy being cast iron and of average side for what you would expect it to be. I myself really like the rougher casting as I am going to use this one for a diy rustic barrel fountain anyway. They do provide a spare leather seal for when the one pre-installed does finally wear out. The handle is a little looser than I had expected it to be but it does function and appears to be able to pump water as intended although just not a large amount at each pump of the handle (but then that is the nature and limitation of this style). Inside the bottom the pump it is threaded to accommodate a 1-1/4" pipe so if you have a different size you will need an adapter fitting. Overall this is a nice rustic looking but functional hand pump.
