I really like this lamp. I can put it off to the side and the arch brings the light to where I need it. The remote makes it so easy to access so I don't need to actually get up close to the lamp to turn it on and off or change other settings. And it has plenty of settings! I love having preset lighting so I don't always have to go through the settings to find what's just right. I like having a night setting so it's warm and dim and I only have to press one button to achieve that. There are other settings that are brighter and of course I can control it myself to find the right setting if I want. Having a 1 hour timer is great too so I can set it and forget it, or if I used it in my bedroom I don't have to worry about falling asleep and later being woken up by a light I forgot to turn off.It's a great light at a really decent price. It's nice looking and really easy to put together, plus it's light enough to move around without much effort. Looks great in my living room.

I was very disappointed The shade was way too big, it looked nothing like the picture, and it was top heavy. I scraped it.

I am not a fan of this lamp at all. Four stars because it is exactly as advertised and technically works just fine, but it is just not right for my space at all. The light is concentrated and directed straight down at the floor, which gives my living room more of an interrogation room vibe. Not friendly at all and the only place that gets lighting is the side table positioned directly under it. The head of the lamp does swivel but it looks insane when it’s facing upward. I loved the idea of a matte black lamp when I saw it online, but the combination of the color, hardware, and spotlight effect just sucks all the joy out of my space. I’ll be gifting this to a friend whose living space has a lot more natural light to make up for the lamp not illuminating as much and whose decor matches a bit better. Overall a fine lamp, just not for me.

I am so glad another reviewer posted how to pair the remote and light bulb. I was just about ready to give up on it, having tried the way the instructions indicate about a dozen times. You plug the lamp in and hold down the power button on the remote to pair.Overall, putting the lamp together was simple. The style is attractive. I don't like that there isn't a power button on the lamp and that I must use the remote. I worry that if the light bulb ever stops working, I won't be able to replace it since it works with a remote. Only time will tell. I feel the price is a little high for this reason. Otherwise, it is comparable to other lamps of a similar style.

I ordered this because my old floor lamp quit working, and I needed something to replace it. I’m glad I did — I like it much more than I expected to like it. The lamp gives off a decent amount of light and I really like that I can adjust the tilt of the dome to aim the light right where I need it. The lamp was easy to assemble . My husband even made a comment about how well thought out the the lamp was. The remote was very easy to connect — just unplug the lamp for 10 seconds, plug it back in, and hold down the button on the remote until the light flashes. Once connected you can use the remote to adjust the temperature and brightness of the bulb. There is also a button to set a 1 hour timer — good for bedtime reading. I tried it out and it worked great, but I don’t actually use the timer. I have the lamp plugged into a smart outlet I control with my HomePod. One really nice thing is that the lamp remembers the settings I used last, so that I can just tell Siri to turn on the lamp. I only need the remote if I want to change the settings!The only thing I would do differently is to order the taller lamp. This one is great for over a table, but if you have it in a traffic area, it is easy to bump your head. But it’s a great lamp and I’m glad I have it!

Great lighting. Colors are nice and constructed of quality material. I really like the look. Only issue we had is that the remote does not work. We wouldn't use it anyway, so that's okay for us, but if you're purchasing FOR the remote control aspect, proceed with caution.
