Slices an entire cabbage very well.
I extensively researched cabbage slicers. My goal is to have a tool that easily allows me to slice cabbage very well. That is all I was looking for. This product from Benriner (Jumbo Slicer) is very sturdy. I just received it on 7.12.23 and I am extremely pleased with the design. The platform that controls the slicing is very stable and does not have the issue that some have reported where it sags on one side. Perhaps it is a new design from the ones previously discussed. I recommend it with no reservations, it is working very well for my application, I can create very thin slices of cabbage, easily and quickly. I do recommend using it with a cut resistant work glove with level 5 protection. These types of slicer are unforgiving if you get your fingertips too close. I always use the included push tool and also wear protective gloves which are available on Amazon for around $12.00.

Well built and really sharp
This is a great mandolin. I recommend it way over the V slicers. Important to buy a cut glove though. As others have said the guard isn't the most user friendly. This. mid size works for me. I guess get the jumbo one if you are doing giant stuff like eggplant. The thickness dial is not as no brainer as on the Oxo but you just have to be observant and maybe do a trail slice until you get the hang of it. I think you can get a thinner slice on this one.

Great mandolin slicer
The main blade is so sharp! We like the attachments that came with the slicer. We've already cut up cucumber and many potatoes into small french fries. We like that we can change how thick our slices are and keep them consistent. We also used the attachment that holds whatever your cutting. Never had an issue with losing whatever was getting cut, the spikes work great. Also, we didn't have to worry about the spikes getting caught in the blade. I'd highly recommend this blade over others as we did try a cheaper alternative that couldn't adjust the height of what was being cut.Speaking of comparisons, the quality of this mandolin slicer is leagues better than other slicers we've tested. It's not made out of cheap plastic like other slicers. We can see ourselves easily using this slicer forever (until we need a new blade that is =) )

Works as advertised. Toothed Blades Disappointing.
Bought the Super Benriner mandolin slicer based on the large number of positive reviews on evil YouTube and Amazon. The plastic portion of the device is high quality and up to heavy use. The blade is very sharp as stated. I discovered much to my dismay that the toothed blades hit the main blade while cutting raw potato. I was able to reduce the dents in the main blade with my honing steel, but sharpness has been reduced.Overall, I'm satisfied with the Super Benriner. I'm disappointed with the toothed blades. That means I would need to buy a main blade for each toothed blade to minimize damage to the main blade. That can get expensive quick. Apparently additional blades are not available from Benriner. Aftermarket blades labeled Benliner are available on Amazon.I also bought the Jumbo Benriner mandolin slicer on a whim. The Jumbo is much better than the Super. The blades are exactly the same. The Super is shorter, wider, cannot use toothed blades, and more robust disassembly. The height tray is pinned by four sliding points making it more stable and easier to use. The height tray adjustment is held in by screws. The screws must be removed to disassemble completely. The blade is held by two screws that fit into stainless nutserts (for lack of better description). This makes it a bit more robust for blade removal. I highly recommend the Super unless you need the toothed blades.I was able to sharpen the blade on the Super, but I'm very experienced at sharpening. It was not easy to sharpen. The height tray moves a bit as it is supported by two notches. It is removable without a screwdriver, but less stable.I get no benefit from Amazon for my opinion on these products. Not even kudos; Amazon keeps blocking my reviews as well.

Very good mandoline.
I had my old mandoline for last 40 years( same Japanese brand), I ordered this one since I lost couple piece that go with it and bottle little dull after using for 40 years. This one is best in the market I think.Very sharp and does great cutting and make things easier for making food.Easy to use and I am happy to get the new one.

Built to last
I've bought several mandoline slicers in the past and this one is by far the best. It's made of high quality, durable plastic that feels like it will last a long time. It's fairly easy to adjust and use. I like the soft rubber at the end to keep it from slipping on your work surface when you are using it. The thing I like the most is the blade - every other mandoline I've seen has a fixed blade that is fused to the body of it, but this one you can actually remove the blade and either sharpen it or replace it if you need to, which is incredibly handy. The other cheaper ones that are basically garbage when the blade gets dull but not this one. The only downside would be that it's kind of expensive, but it's worth it. Get this one if you plan on using it a lot.
