BernatBaby Blanket Yarn, 3.5 oz, Gauge 6 Super Bulky, Pitter Patter

Normally, I don't buy yarn on Amazon, because it costs a bit more than in a brick-and-mortar store. However, since Covid hit, my husband is trying to keep me out of the stores. So I'm forced to buy yarn online. I bought this ball to complete a project for my Etsy store that had already been ordered, so I needed it right away and it did come quickly. It's very good baby blanket, or baby toy yarn. It doesn't fray or shed the way some chenille-type yarns can. It smells fresh and clean, no chemical odor. Be aware that you will need more hanks of this yarn than you would think. It is quite bulky, so what looks like a lot of yarn is really not so much yardage, since the bulk makes it look big, not the length. Am I making sense to you? In other words, one ball will make one little baby toy. If you are making a full-size plush animal, you'll need two or three skeins. If you are making a baby blanket, I'm thinking 6 skeins. Finished projects with this yarn are so soft and pretty!

I really like how this yarn feels when crocheting, most yarn kind of feels like rope burning on my hands, or gets stuck because of my sweaty hands. This yarn flows very nicely when crocheting, and looks great for plushies.

I love working with kind of yarn. It doesn't dry out the hands and it is great to make throws as well as blankets. The reason why it gets the four stars is the price. A total of 3 of the 100g costs $10.17. Future buyers my advice, go for the single skein of 300g that it is currently going for $6.31. I was running low and needed to finish my project rather quickly. No harm was done physically, just my wallet. LOL

I love that this doesn't shed and can easily pull out if I need to correct a mistake. Great yarn! Buying it again.

The ad says 3 pack below the description when you click on this color, but I only got ONE skein of 3.5 ounce of the Baby Dove color. I called Amazon and they said it was a mistake and that the price is for one skein. They gave me a partial refund, offered to waive shipping on some more if I needed it, and said that they would correct the ad. Always great service with Amazon. I like this yarn for throws, but I am not thrilled with the color palette. However, this color is a winnerl! It is a soft beige that is totally neutral. It is not as stark as the vanilla, or as gold as the sand, and will look great in adult projects. Wish it came in the big ball size. Bought some pale gray too, it's really a nice warm gray that you can't find in stores.
