50" Class 4K (2160P) LED TV (ULD50SU4KC)

I've been using Televisions for my multi-system, multi-screen setup since HD first came around (note first picture in review - the new Sumec is the one on the left). In the beginning I would buy Toshibas, then Samsung (the center and right screens in the pic are Samsungs), because Samsung makes a very fine screen with great picture quality. However, i don't need all the "Smart TV" stuff (I use Apple TV now, formerly Roku (I have two of those)) for my television, or my monitor, and simply want a great value for the price. The center monitor above cost over 4k (It's a 4k UHD monitor that I bought nearly on the day they were released), and it has worked fine for years, but that is just entirely too much money to spend. So since Amazon started having the early Black Friday specials, and this 50" TV came up for sale for $188, I thought, I have to give this a try just to see. If nothing else, I could use it as a TV for my pets to watch animal channel or something! However, I was pleasantly surprised!This monitor does EXACTLY what I've been waiting for! It is a television, with multiple HDMI, an intuitive, easy to use interface, boots up quickly, and perfectly fits the resolution of my PC. The speakers in the TV work just fine and are fed through the HDMI cable! Incidentally, I learned a trick on fitting the computer output to the screen! Note the second picture... If you buy this to use as a computer monitor, open the menu (center button on your remote... great remote by the way... none of the "smart tv" buttons get in the way), scroll right to "setup," scroll down to "zoom mode" and choose "just scan" -- and the TV will simply "scan" or display whatever the computer sends it, and it will fit perfectly. :)I normally don't write a lot of Amazon reviews, because my guess is that most of them are fake, or people are paid to do it... I'm not paid at all, and am just pleasantly surprised that this $188 television does exactly what I wanted my $4,000+ main monitor to do... and if there's anyone out there like me, don't waste your money bro... this little Sumec works just fine, and I feel like an idiot for wasting all the money I did when the 4k UHD monitor first came out :)I actually spent a lot of time trying to find a Samsung TV that came without the Smart TV stuff, but quit looking when I came across this.. I don't regret the purchase at all :)

BEWARE We aren't sure how it work we recieved no remote no paperwork no instructions . Gave as a gift and I am very disapointed. Who send a tv with no remote and no instructions. if it were me I could go get a universal remote even thoni shouldnt need to however this is for my mother in law and she has no idea how to turn it on, so it is sitting in the box unable to use. So irritatingI cant get a answer are you sending the remote and manual? a response would be great! NO STAND ABSOUTLY AWFUL

Absent a black Friday sale this is a great buy for a person on a budget or buying a tv for a guestroom or basement.It has great image quality. 4k quality. The audio is just as good as my vizio and Samsung tvs.It does run a little slow when turning and its not a smart tv but i added a 4k chromecast viola! Its smart. Now add alexa or google assistant and you can turn it on and off qith your voice as it has CEC.My xbox x has amazing quality on here as well. Dark blacks and bright vibrant colors.Price is good for the size as well.I only dont give 5 star because i believe there is always room for improvement. But it i could give 4.5 i would

One week of heavy use and this Sumec 50" 4K TV is great. I purchased the Sumec from Amazon for $250. Good price. I use the Sumec as a computer monitor for graphic design. Movers broke my other 4K 40" TV and I didnt want to pay a lot for a new montior. Really, I am quite pleased with this TV monitor. The colors of are fine. The lighting is "even" across the screen. It's stable. No bad pixels. Easy to set up. In my opinion, the Sumec is a good monitor. I was worried about this purchase. So far I am very pleased. TV has been out of the box for 1 week with 12 hours or more use per day. I will leave an update to this review if it fails or passes 6 months with no problems. Took a chance on Sumec and it paid off.

EDIT 7/12/19: Bumped down to three stars. TV was perfect for several months, but eventually both of the speakers produced a lot of static when TV was in use. It’s still functional, but I needed to order a separate speaker system to be able to tolerably listen to it. Still good for a budget TV of this size though.Pictures can’t do this TV justice! Love the big size and amazing quality. You’ll definitely love it!I was a little iffy at first because of the price and people saying it arrived damaged, however mine arrived safe and sound and well packaged, was easy to put together and set up and I can proudly say I’ve never loved a TV more!

The TV is great! I was quite hesitant to order it giving the other reviews, but most of them are concerning the TV being broken in transit.The TV that I received, however, was well packaged and undamaged.The colors are vivid and deep. Even the color black is deep and dark, usually something that is hard to achieve on cheaper TVs. The sound (which Sumec specifically advertises) is great, too. There will be no need to order a soundbar for this TV.At least one other reviewer noted that the TV had compatibility problems with Xbox. I immediately hooked my Xbox into this TV and haven't had a single problem.Take the leap. This is the best option on Amazon for a 4K 50'' TV.
