Will not secure to any components
Very poor item. The end of the cable will not properly secure into anything I’ve tried, including the sound bar which I purchased this for. The tabs/clips will not secure into place, and will pull out at the slightest tug. This is the case with multiple components, as I initially assumed it was my Sound bar connector. I then used the other end to secure into the Samsung TV, which I found out to be the same exact problem I had with plugging into the Klipsch sound bar. Now with the cable not clipping into the TV nor my surround sound, I decided to try my bedroom Apple TV (third separate device). Same problem however as with the first two prior attempts. The cord I purchased ended up being useless, as it does not properly secure to anything. I should add that the sound does work as intended as long as you hold the clip end into place with your hand.

Don't forget to remove the plastic!
I was about to leave a poor review about how it didn't seem to snap into my receiver....As I scrolled down i noticed the picture that said to remove the protective cover. OOOPS. luckily it came right out and was not stuck in the receiver! lol Should have a better warning on the packaging or an orange sticker that says to remove it.It's a pretty thin cable - i was comparing it to my 15 year old monster fiber cable but then i realized that 15 years is a long time ago.Sounds good. ran from my tv to my Onkyo receiver and it's synced up perfectly.

Remove protective end caps! 💡🤪
So I got this to complete setting up a bypass to use my new headphones and still have my sound bar work. The headphones only came with one cable for this. I ordered this and almost returned it as for someone like me with absolutely no electronic skill set couldn’t get it to plug in! This cord comes with NO DIRECTIONS! So, while trying to find another I found on this site a very small but very important hint..... be sure to remove the protective caps! Just saying, not all of us are all that smart, lol 😂. You need to put that on the bag somewhere... thanks. Other than that it seems to work fine 😜 it’s new, time will tell. Took off a ⭐️ for lack of info.

Fitting Are To Small / Connections Fail
Okay I read the other reviews before I bought this product and thought the few derogatory comments were just competitors giving false comments. I was wrong. The fittings on this optical cord are far too small and therefore will not correctly connect or stay connected. Just to be sure I tried it on 3 different manufacturers electronic devices and found it to small for all of them. Which leaves me with only one conclusion, poorly made with no quality control. Stay away from this product.

Compared to optical cables that I have used previously, this is cheaply made but works
I have previously used various optical cable from refutable named manufacturer, and they are correspondinglyexpensive. Most of the cables that I use are about 3/8"+ thick. This cable appears to be close to 1/8th inch.I needed 15' length fast, and this cable was available for fast delivery at very cheap cost. That thin cable did not give me confidence. Since I was routing this behind the wall and had to fish it throughthe gypsum board, I thought there might be a potential of breakage. But, it works just fine. The 15 feet of cablesnaked through the wall did not break this unit. But, since it does not have the same thick protectionas other optical cable, I think I am taking a change in case someone pulls on the cable and break it.But, so far it is working fine, and definitely for the price this is a good buy.

Works
After adding a Fire-stick for streaming to our non-streaming tv, I had only this way of adding streamed sound to the 5.1 setup. Working out which way round the S/PDIF plugs were orientated was tricky, since I couldn't see what I was doing and had to rely on feel, but once connected, and as soon as settings were done on my receiver, all worked perfectly. This was bought for slinkiness, function and price, not ultimate sound quality, but it sounds perfectly fine and works flawlessly; what more do you want for $8?!

More Bang For Your Buck!
I recently purchased this Optical cable for my new streaming build and I needed a longer cable for my soundbar audio. Because the original cable that came with the soundbar was way to short so I decided to get this cable instead(15ft in length) and it was just $5.99. Having the extra cable length help because I now can easily relocate my audio for better flexibility. I hope this helps everyone with choosing this cable

This cable could have been a lot better.
First, I am an electronic engineer of audio equipment and I know that cables like these can be sourced from multiple OEMs. So, the distributor may experience intermittent, erratic supply chain quality issues.I bought this cable to connect a additional sound bar to my TV. The plugs on both ends were poorly molded and would not "capture" into their respective receptacles. The cable itself was very thin and reminded me of those cheap cables included with low cost audio devices as a minimal means of out-of-box connectivity. The audio from the sound bar has random glitches, albeit I have not yet concluded if this is the cable or the sound bar.

Works fine, very good value.
I chose this among a number of options because it promised much quicker delivery. I didn't in fact need five TOSLink cables, I only needed one, but I reasoned that if the quality turned out to be a bit iffy, I;d at least have a few to choose from. As it turns out, the delivery didn't really work out (not the original supplier's fault) but the cables were absolutely fine. I don't subscribe to the notion that "sound quality" is much of a thing with digital optical cables - generally, either they work, or they don't. OK, I guess if they're borderline then there will be more dropout and error correction going on but, really, anything better than marginal quality is going to be just fine, and these work great. Plus, I have four spares...Overall, great value and no complaints.

Falls out of samsung TV socket
I had to send this back. It managed to stay in place for about 2 seconds, then fell out of the TV socket . I didn't get as far as hooking up to my sound system so I can't comment on the sound. Although very thin, the cable is inflexible and certainly won't like going round corners . I've ordered another brand which may be the same as my 10 year old NEET cable that no longer works but fitted both the TV and amplifier. Sadly the 5 metre length isn't available any more.

Excellent.
This cable probably works very well, but I comically managed to break it when I was fitting it to my sound bar.....which I also broke at the same time. This in no way reflects the quality of the cable.......which I am sure is absolutely fine as long as you don't destroy it whilst plugging it in.
