This is a really cool techno gadget. This renders butane lighters and the like completely obsolete, not just for starting propane grill or torch but also for ignition of flame in thin timbers or dry materials The plasma that is generated isn't enough to power Mr. Fusion on the DeLorean but it can start fire. When the temperature drops you don't want to be fumbling around with matches or a traditional lighter, I can still have my gloves on and use this lighter If you need to light a gas fire and you're sick and tired of using those cheap plastic lighters that are always out of fluid when you need them. Give this a try you will not disappointed The electric arc lights all kinds of candles quicker than a flame can do it Perfect size nice and long you can hold in your hand it's very easy to use and open This seems to be ideal for lighting candles where you have to insert the tip down into a glass container or other holder. The flame at the tip of the butane variety tends either to go out or curl back up at your hand. The orientation of the arc tip of this lighter doesn't matter. It just arcs It can be a candle lighter.slight bulky, but you get a long reach for getting to the bottom of candles. And the electric arc is good for wowing your friends Works great on candles, especially ones with hard-to-reach wicks. No more need for butane refills It's hard to angle the lighter to light every square inch of the bowl, which is only a problem if you smoke pipes or bongs. A work around is to simply poke around with something so material not burned is moved to the center. this issue is eliminated if you exclusively smoke joints or blunts Do NOT use this to light your coco Nara charcoal with, it's not made for it One caution, though.Don't attempt to charge the lighter with a high-amperage charger, such as one designed for an iPad.Stick with a normal 1.0 amp phone charger
