The teeth of the blade are made of TiCo high-density carbide for long-lasting durability. Cut from hard steel with high-precision blades, the ultra-thin blade design provides fast and effortless cuts. A Perma-Shield permanent coating keeps this sheet free of gluing and corrosion, and stabilizing grids cut with fleece reduce vibration and heat build-up for more precise cuts and longer cutting life. High-density carbide teeth TiCoFreud is one of the few manufacturers of carpentry tools in the world that produces its own MicroGrain carbide with titanium, called TiCo †“a combination of titanium and cobalt. TiCo high-density carbide-tipped teeth provide maximum performance and cutting life. Freud develops different types of carbide for each application to maximize the useful life and cutting performance of the tool.
