One Complaint But Still Earned Five Stars
One of the (much used) glossary pages is no longer stuck to the binding. But it was still there and otherwise undamaged. For the price, this small flaw isn't worth losing a star.

Great text for beginning teachers and seasoned educators alike!
This was a required text for an Elementary Education Teaching RLA class and it's probably the most useful and easy-to-read text I've ever had. This book contains both the basics of literacy instruction as well as tons of innovative ideas and instructional strategies and much more. I really enjoyed this book and will use it in the future!

Binding damaged
Book was listed as brand new but came with a “slice” mark thru the bottom of the binding and binding was damaged on same corner.

poor binding
Over all was a very well written book and served it purpose for my class. My only concern about this book is the fact that after opening the book two times the pages started to fall out of the binding from the back forward.

Another Great Textbook
Another relevant textbook from one of my masters classes. Gail Tompkins knows her stuff!

Nice used book.
Just what I needed. Some of the index and glossary are not attached, but there.

Definitely one to own if you teach reading
Really great book for teaching reading. Lots of real-world examples, useful information, and well laid out.

Another Overpriced Textbook
I had to buy this book for a class in teacher’s college. What do you want me to say? It has a front and back cover, and there are pages. It was stupidly overpriced, because that’s the unfortunate reality of academia. Would I buy it again? Not if I didn’t have to.
