I got the gimbal as a good solid entry point as I had seen good reviews and Both the price and battery were impressive. Also I had seen the zoomControl in action. I was hoping to use the gimbal for holiday shots and for recording live bands.Pros:Very Quick Setup time, about 15 seconds.Focus/Zoom knob, making it easy to zoom and focus without touching the camera.Full control of camera from the dials which can be easily accessed with 1 hand.12hr battery life, gives plenty recording time. Or use some of the battery to charge your phone.Good solid tripod includedUses modern USB C cable (cable is good quality and plenty long at about 3ft)Good price and works as good as others that are much more expensive.The Lock mechanism is great if you want to keep the device on but lock it in place.Cons:Battery is built in (but it has plenty power at 12hrs so no issue with getting a backup battery)The software crashed 1 or 2 times when zooming (although only if I zoomed super quickly). I was using it on Android with a Huawei P20 proNice to Have:What I would also like to have on the gimbal is the ability to screw on an external microphone like a RodeMicrophone, either on the top of the gimbal or the side. I can do a hack job and screw it on the bottom of the tripod, but it just looks like a bad position. But a lot of gimbals don't have this option just yet.Verdict:Only problem is with the software crashing when zooming too quickly. But I believe software updates may fix this issue and I have heard that it performs better on the iPhone.

After reading and watching all the reviews on the Zhiyun Smooth 4, I decided to pass both my DJI Osmo 1 and 2 onto my sons and order the Smooth 4. I have only had it a few days, but have been so impressed with its overall performance and the attention to detail Zhiyun has incorporated.From the simple gimbal lock, the tripod, the well designed App to the unique zoom wheel providing both focus and zoom control this is a masterpiece. Where else can one find a dolly zoom built in for such a great value price?I am using my Apple X and contrary to other reviews have had no Bluetooth connection problems.

Lightweight with good native features and extra features using the Zhiyun and Filmic Pro apps.

Bluetooth on mine stays connected for 12 seconds and the disconnects which is bad when recording on the app because if it is disconnected there is no button on the screen to stop recording!
