Works like a charm
Bought this pump for my old American Standard hydronic boiler built back in the mid 50s. Installation was easy and was a direct replacement for the original pump. Runs very quiet and the best part, my house is nice and warm.

It works great installed. Quality products
I had one exactly like it so I replaced it with the same one. My plumber said he could have gotten me a cheaper one, but this exact one will last like the first one, it’s not expensive. Quality product. Working great installed.

Perfect replacement
Previous "sealed no maintenance" booster pump locked up & failed - they're horrible! It was freezing weather & I needed a replacement asap. Ordered this complete kit to get it fast, although I didn't need the flange or motor. Easily removed the old motor & booster pump, installed the new ones & got heat running. Fit perfectly to 30+ year old flange.

It’s a footlong!
They are thin so if you’re looking for a very stiff peg, these aren’t it. However they work well in soft soil, and are way better than plastic or aluminum.

Fortunately for me
This was shipped without a gasket between the bearing assembly and pump housing. Since the likely intent is for many people to bolt the pump to flanges and use, this could be a big problem for some people, to realize that the pump leaked between the bearing assembly and pump housing. Fortunately for me, I had originally planned to bolt the motor and bearing assembly to my existing pump housing, thus I realized that the gasket was missing. I would give it 3 stars, but the pump has otherwise worked fine in my hydronic heating system. It was a very nice price too.

Have a licensed plumber install your pump.
Had my plumber install my B&G Booster Pump and the heat that circulates through my home is excellent. Highly recommend this brand.

Not Very Durable.
I gave this unit 5 stars on installation as it exactly replaced a 55 year old original unit. 1 star for lack of durability. It fits but doesn't last and for this price it should have worked a bit longer. Installed this pump in a 55 y/o system about almost exactly a year ago. Used this to replace another B&G that had been in the system since new and had just worn out. System went to start this fall and blew the protection fuse. Traced the fuse blowing to this pump that was seized up. I thought the pump was frozen due to sediment in that may have in the system perhaps because I didn't flush it enough. Bought the green pump to replace this as I didn't want to remove this one with out having a replacement on hand. Took this one out put the new one in flushed the system and removed the air. New pump working great. Took this one apart thinking it would be full of sediment and found it to be clean inside. Turns out the bearing was froze up. Lubed it a little and it started working. So now I have a spare $600 pump. I am dismayed at the quality of this unit. I would think it should have lasted more then a year. Considering the previous one was there and worked for 55 years.
